Just finished 1984. Decent book.
Thing is, I can never get excited about reading. I've never read a book that actually made me emotional, or made me think hard on something, or anything. In TV or movies I can get excited, nervous, feel inspired, etc., but I have yet to read a book that makes me feel that way. Because of that, I tend not to read. Books just don't entertain me as much.
1984, To Kill A Mockingbird, Brave New World, Frankenstein, none of them created any emotion in me whatsoever. I just get bored whenever I read.
Try Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle", or William Styron "Set This House on Fire"... two books I found to be particularly emotional.
