My favorite parts of family guy are the subtle parts (well I guess most viewers don't watch it for the same reason as I do). I just discussed this briefly with a couple of people who had a couple of suggestions. One agreed that people overall seem to be much better at getting a difficult joke so long as they expect it to be a joke, whereas they don't even get the simplest joke if it isn't obviously clear from the get go that it's supposed to be a joke. The other person suggested that I'm a sarcastic bastard who assumes more in the direction of jokes, than serious posts... and that other people simply fall in different parts of the spectrum. Thus, I am more likely to mistakenly think serious posts are actually jokes. Not sure if it's true or not, but an interesting aside imo. | ||
