As it turns out, my standard play has been suffering as of late. My late game TvZ used to be really up there, but recently I've just been abysmal at TvZ in general. Likewise, my TvP remains equally bad, and my TvT was always just below average.
My losses: TvZ, Standard, Defilers TvZ, Standard, Defilers TvP, Standard, Arbiters TvZ, Standard, Lurker Push TvP, Standard, Bulldog ZvT, Standard, 7 rax FBH style ZvT, Standard, Failed All-In
My victories: TvP, Biomech timing rush TvZ, Valkyrie-Wraith-Dropship (hilarity ensued) TvZ, all in SCV TvT, 2 Fact Vult ZvT, 3 hatch ling ZvP, Mutaling All-In ZvT, Mutaling timing attack ZvP, mass crackling elimination race vs. carriers ZvP, Slow Drop
as you can see, my victories are all relatively non-standard builds, and my losses are all standard. Clearly something is up here, and it's probably my shitty mechanics. Any tips on improving mechanics?

Realistic evaluations of your terran. + Show Spoiler +lol that was so mean :3
More seriously, study replays of good players playing standard, and then play a lot of iccup games so that you get opponents who play standard (and when they play non-standard you can practice vs that also). Not much else to do.

so wait, you play t and z?

Sometimes you just hit a slump mate. I'm not a good player- at all. I regularly go on like, ten game loss streaks. But when I do catch a win, that is standard, I play well etc, it boosts my confidence, it boosts my reactions. I'm just able to play much better in general for the next few games [which I often win]. Eventually I hit a snag again, and go into a frustrating slump. But I think the general idea applies.
Your just hitting a rough patch, getting a little frustrated maybe? Distracted? Maybe you are changing the timing of your builds/pushes without realizing how much it will/has effected your play? Anyways, just keep at it, your'll turn it around.

I don't believe slumps exist - in the full extent that people believe though.
There has been multiple times that I've thought that my best match-up has changed or that a certain playstyle/element of my play has gotten significantly worse while another has gotten better. But it just turns out that you can't make these assumptions off of 10-20 games. For instance, I used to cheese 24/7, and that was how I won. But now like all of my losses on ICCup are from half-committed cheese decisions.
You should probably just watch the replays you lose and analyze everything. It is way better than thinking something has changed and making comparisons to your previous play.

I think a large part of the problem of my TvZ losses is that I just don't know how to deal with a swarm push. When I have a group of marines and medics, I can usually kill shitloads of units while losing one or two marines at the most, taking out expos and massacring lurk/muta/ling. Like in one game, I had 12 marines+4 medics kill 4 lurks 7 muta and 20 lings for 2 marines. But when I subsequently push out with 2 groups of mnm, 3 tanks, and a vessel, my push gets the shit raped out of it while doing next to no damage and I proceed to get raped as my drops get shut down and they swarm push into my base.
I think it also has to do with macro, I need to 7rax FBH style more often I think, I usually end up having shitloads of mins/gas as I die. Maybe I should just play short games lol.

Lol, I forgot to mention the speed hydra break into sporadic lag spike game, even though I was in a huge advantage (5 base to 0), but that one didn't count b/c you booted me lol.

Just wondering, what's "Bulldog"? And what's your iCCup rank?

Bulldog Attack: When protoss gets many zeal and goon off of two base and runs a terran over. Considered hanbang timing attack. My Iccup rank is D atm, however, I got to D+ last time.
I wasn't really trying then, and I am at university so I will not be trying now.
I can still run over people on fastest though... lol i killed 20 carriers in 30 seconds with plague-swarm-hydra.

bulldog is a one-base 3gate range goon with shuttle attack on a fast expanding terran

why do you make a blog and ask for tips on improving your game and then in the same blog say that you aren't trying and won't be trying in the future?
secondly, I think it is totally bullshit to say you don't try in games. what, do you try to lose games on purpose? the entire point of playing is either to have fun, or win, or both. whether you are playing to win or not, 99.9% of people are NOT playing to lose, so using excuses like "I wasn't trying" to cover up for your bad play is just stupid.
^-- I'm not really referring to you in particular, but using this as a general example for something that really bothers me.

also saying that your TvZ is "up there" while your high rank is D+ isn't very accurate either.

by try i meant mass gaming. I don't have time to mass game as much as I would like, not that I wouldn't try to improve my game, which is different.
As for what I meant by TvZ I meant to say that I could beat Zergs at C level standard. For a D+ player I think that's pretty good
