I'd certainly be curious. Also, where do you make videos? I assume Youtube, but I can't find you on there.

If you still feel this way after the next big patch it may be more valuable.

Even 1000 concurrent players aren't enough to sustain the game. They need to know why are all those wishlisted didn't even bother downloading the game at open beta.
Obviously you can nitpick every part of the game and blame it all on that.
Reality is they lost a lot of interest post Kickstarter and pre open beta. They need to recapture them somehow. Incremental updates won't be what's needed. They need a big relaunch for early access essentially, otherwise good luck surviving till 1.0 launch without huge cuts.

I assume Youtube, but I can't find you on there. i haven't made a lot of solo content. i dont keep up a youtube or anything like that. for SG i did a talk with artosis on his channel so that it'd get more visibility. a lot of people know my analysis from state of the game State of the Game but that was a long time ago. or they know me from being an sc1 & sc2 progamer
anyway if i have a good day set aside for it i'll try to organize my thoughts and make a video. maybe i'll wait until after the sept content patch

I think Stormgate forgot about the most basic thing. Games are supposed to be fun.
AOM retold has flaws. But is it fun to play. That is why it has the numbers, while Stormgate don't.

who says M$ doesn't know how to publish RTS games? Isn't M$ the #1 RTS game publisher on Steam by player count?
i'd be interested in SC3 published by XBOX Game Studios.

I wondered about them obtaining a publisher... I would think that's still an option later on. I know everyone sees the Concord situation and assumes SG will be shut down if things don't turn aruond, but I would still be surprised if that happened.

No one is gonna step in and pay a million/month to keep FGS afloat. How would you ever get your investment back?

Not to mention the game just released, it's on the front page of steam and top 5 in sales today, it's not gonna stay higher than AOE 2/4 in a month.
Stormgate released in early access with only 6 missions a month ago, and they aren't exactly great or finished. Anyone interested have played it and left to come back when it improves.

There's more than enough successful EA/Beta to know content isn't an issue. Even a fairly decent one in subgenre like cataclismo in tower defence got a decent launch and it's a full priced game. Another sign is there's hardly any content creator making any content for stormgate, outside the starcraft usual creators. Look at how many made Homeworld3, sins of solar Empire 2 beta etc even if they aren't RTS specific channels

I'd say it depends. I think making things that detract from your experience up to the point it makes you not want to play vehemently felt and explicitly stated is good.
I'd be more interested in your suggestions for either gameplay or quality of life improvements. They could be drastic or trying to keep it more in line with the current product.

Please do, would also like to hear your thoughts. Maybe get on Discord with Artosis as well to discuss this together.

The 3v3 concept is interesting and would have been my main mode anyway. I do like the MOBA elements of having 1 core building together. This way even in a PUG there is some incentive to defend each other. And in games with friends there isn't that one guy who gets rushed early and then has to watch for 20mins
