That aside I agree, I can’t see England, if they get the 50+ year major trophy monkey off their back, after another recent final having the energy to dust off and go deep again.
I think he’s considerably more popular with the press than he is with the public anyway. Some think he’s done a good job kicking off this phase, but should have been replaced by an upgrade to finish the process. Some dislike his football and his tactics, and some dislike him for entirely non-football reasons such as he’s too ‘woke’

Ok so to me this has to go to Spain. My fantasy needs it and so does my belief that they were the better team.
Sorry english friends, its coming to Madrid.

The edgy play to possibly make big leaps in fantasy would be to go allin on England
But hey... I also bet on Spain. 22 points for England not scoring a goal :D

Hoping for the England win but that aside may the better team on the night win, and no dodgy decisions decide such a big occasion!

He was, but it was all nonsense from the start. That said, I waited with the final transfer til the lineups were known.
I went with a fairly balanced team, only 7 Spaniards. And a 3-5-2 system, because I don't really trust either defense.
So far, it seems like a goal could fall on either end, but it could also end as a pretty insipid 0-0. Seems like it's really gonna depend on individual moments.

Cagey so far, Spain aren’t looking as fluent as they did at times versus France and Germany, and England are well, England

The breakout attacks are not scary so far. Some players up there look like they are not part of the team (Foden or others)

Someone has nice stream for this?

Pretty much, but as I said so before and with reference to the France match too, sitting deep and countering can work but you have to be brave in the counter in committing lads forward. Unless Dembele scored a solo wonder goal often it was just him and maybe one other actually countering sometimes. Feels similar with England and Saka a little
There was one there where Kyle Walker absolutely bombed on and overlapped, and Saka either didn’t see him or chose not to play it and it felt a bit dicey when Spain got the ball back. Similarly John Stones made a great run out of defence but it felt quite shakey the second that got turned over. Unlike previous Spains there’s some really lethally speedy, technically gifted wingers that can also hurt you.
I’d describe the first half as intriguing, which is essentially a euphemism for ‘interesting but boring’

That piece is still true. Spains playstyle is much more direct than tiki taka.
Edit: The game is not intriguing at all Wombat. It's just boring.

Rodri out. That's not good for Spain.

Ooff, this game is terrible for my fantasy team so far. Yellow for Kane, yellow for Olmo and Rodri off...
Nvm, got some points with an assist and a goal. Still bad that Olmo missed that. Captained the wrong guy
