Hmm...this kinda makes me want to play SC2 again too lol

That's why all the BW players instantly dominated sc2 after the Kespa switch.

Look at MMA and Parting they haven't even qualified for a GSL yet after returning, going to be a long hard road to start winning if ever even for FanTaSy.

You can spit freely on sc2 but when you poke BW ...
Yet it's not hard to understand that he just prefers sc2.

I think it might be a case of "unfinished business" for FanTaSy moreso than which one he prefers, as in FanTaSy feels he still has something to prove in SC2.

Haha, that's awesome! Glad he is safe and sound.

That's why all the BW players instantly dominated sc2 after the Kespa switch. Please don't start some silly SCII vs BW fight in a welcome back thread. Fantasy was playing SCII before he left for the military and it's the game that he's played since he switched over, aka for years and years now. If he had to go back to BW, he'll have to relearn everything and work hard on trying to get better macro because his 2011/12 form would not cut it anymore. Flash made the Ro8 on his first BW appearance since the switch and got destroyed in TvT, a matchup that he had a crazy win streak in during the KeSPA era.
Add on top of that the fact that the only offline tournament that he can participate in is ASL (we have lots of smaller but good online tourneys but he likely wants offline) and it's obvious that with Blizz's support, there's a much larger bag of cash for him to try his hands at.

And when Fantasy comes back to SC2, he won't have to work on anything. He will get a golden ticket to GSL ro16, just like MMA and PartinG who are stuck in Code B! Completely unlike the extremely cut throat BW scene, where FlaSh got 3-0d in ro8!

How does Rain fit into your rant? Also pretty sure that he doesnt have to relearn everything. Its not like the game had alot of expansions. Maybe you shouldnt provoke with statements like that if you dont wont any "Silly Fights"

The way you phrased your initial comment made it seem like you were the one starting the BW vs SC2 fight. Now that you elaborated more I see where you're coming from but still disagree. Fantasy played SC2 before the military but he never was a top player and as you can see with PartinG and MMA, even for top players it's incredibly difficult to get back to top level. On the other side Flash, Jaedong and Rain got high placements within months of returning to BW. I just think SC2 is the more competitive scene atm with BW being focused more on streaming and the players focusing a lot on being entertaining whereas the sc2 scene is 100% focused on competition.
Also the fact that Fantasy has more natural talent for BW as he had much more success in it.

No suprise that he wants to play SC2, its just much easier to win in an enviroment where competiton is a farce

came back from holidays only to find out Fanta is back...in SC2 T_T

wtf are people saying here... lol. Yes, Starcraft 2 is easier to play, and that's why it's HARDER to win. The game is more volatile and every pro plays near the skill ceiling. I prefer BW but I like both the games. Fantasy is choosing SC2 because has more tournaments and more money, not because he thinks is easier to win (never forget jangbi and fantasy were at the top when SC2 arrived).

FanTaSy is already playing decently. He did alright in today's GSL qualifier. He made it to the final stage of his bracket, 2-0'd Kelazhur, and only lost to Hurricane (who qualified) and Keen (who lost to Hurricane in the final match of the bracket). I wonder if he'll try to qualify again tomorrow... Perhaps we could see FanTaSy being one of the higher tier terran players again soonish?

wut why not bw, bro well i wish him great success in his endeavour. may the widow mines be with him!

PPL are always so mad here xD I am really happy Fanta is back to SC2!
btw, MMA and Parting have qualified to Code S

He didn't do bad in the GSL qualifiers. Beating a current foreign Terran (they say foreign Terrans are weak) is already good. Forcing 2-1 despite his loss isn't bad either. He might make it in the next GSL qualifiers, next year I believe.
Also, he's already invited to the Homestory Cup which will happen a few weeks from now. Good luck Fantasy.
Man, how many more SC2 players are returning other than Fantasy, Parting, MMA, and even TaeJa?
