DD has come of age. It's nice to see that in the end of Lebron's dominance, a multitude of hungry young superstars are fighting to the top - KD, Harden, and DD, and then the next generation are just right around the corner - Giannis, Embiid, Simmons, Lonzo.

Dwane Casey quote of the day: "Any time a team has a tough game the day before and they have anything in their pants they're going to come back and really compete hard." On February 27 2018 11:00 Twinkle Toes wrote: DD has come of age. not really. His defense is pretty far behind Lowry, VanVleet, and Wright. He is still not a top-notch 2-way player. When teams run PnR they are looking to run it through Derozan and JV as much as they can because they are by far the Raptors' weakest links. regarding tonight's game, Toronto's bench mob is in a game with a 22 point lead and 8 minutes left. The bench mob is playing like its a tie game. This makes Toronto's amazing point differential this year somewhat misleading. Blake Griffin in a shoving match with Fred VanVleet. LOLOL. Notice I never reply to you or address you in any way, but you always reply to me with your controversial posts hoping to bait me. Why are you begging for my attention? I don't care about the stupid things you post about Kobe's career being shortened by one leg landing, or your obvious non-knowledge of advanced analytics, or your post on fringe events about some random sports writer, or your lies, or your claiming reports and facts that everyone else has already seen a couple of days ago on twitter, or your nephew-level analysis, and now your WebMD diagnosis on players injury. I like it that you try your best to be taken seriously, I respect that despite that fact that to me they are genuine unintentional comedy gold not only because they are incorrect but more so because they are very absurd things for a normal person to do. I'm really trying to understand your condition and motivation for doing this. You're a funny guy, I get it. But I'm just going to be direct now and I'm going to say it again - stop replying to me and provoking me. If you really want to have a word in on this topic, you can post a detailed table and graph and analysis about DD and Lowry and who's better and why you think what you think. Just don't do it as a reply to me ok. I'm sure everyone will have fun reading it

Boban would frequently move 20 point margins into the 30s by himself. They were competitive with GS in that metric that year.

Probably, but it is amazing how many all stars do seem to have very small % changes on winning like Cousins & Wall.

Butler is a very, very good player both defensively and offensively.

AD and Jrue aren't going to be able to carry the team for 7 games vs good competition shuttling down their best sets. I mean, I think having Boogie+AD on the floor in the playoffs also was gonna present problems for them at both ends. IMO the playoffs vs. regular season dichotomy is most salient with teams like the pre-Durant Warriors who were small and a little too reliant on the 3, which is a lazy shot (and actually gets defended in the playoffs). That would probably apply to the Rockets this year if they end up playing a healthy Spurs, which would IMO be a hourly contested 7 gamer (sadly the Cavs and Dubs both suck at defending PGs).
