They're looking for junior programmers. Sorry nesserev, spine, tofu, manitou. No trip to BCN for you

Thread Rules 1. This is not a "do my homework for me" thread. If you have specific questions, ask, but don't post an assignment or homework problem and expect an exact solution. 2. No recruiting for your cockamamie projects (you won't replace facebook with 3 dudes you found on the internet and $20) 3. If you can't articulate why a language is bad, don't start slinging shit about it. Just remember that nothing is worse than making CSS IE6 compatible. 4. Use [code] tags to format code blocks.

Right now we have to do some of it as devs and it's taking a toll (and finding a good devops that would also need a job is really hard). you'll probably have to find a devops guy who already has a job and offer him more money

We even have a billiards table, darts and other such things set up in our foyer to attract more people

No clue what they do or whether you can work remotely. But it's in Barcelona, so why on earth would you want to work remotely (except maybe from the beach ). They're looking for junior programmers. Sorry nesserev, spine, tofu, manitou. No trip to BCN for you Interesting, I haven't posted in here in ages, yet you still mention me. Not like I do python anyways though.

Only have a couple of months worth of actual work experience, which was nothing more than a bunch of one-off solo jobs like writing web scrapers for a shady Korean, and building/deploying websites for small organizations. More of a learning experience than a money making one... Still a student, doing a MSc SE/CompSci while leeching off of my loving parents. :/ EDIT: That said, I can freely mix my studies with work, and would love to respond to the job offers... but I'm probably gonna rejected Hurray for awesome parents that secretly don't want us to move out

Companies that earn $250 million a year are the bottom line we do. We have to make ads that cater to their CEO's, not regular people (speaking of which, this video was made by a single guy who sits 2m away from me) Bonus: Great presentation for any developer:

I think I figured out a solution but I thought some of you may have fun with it (don't cheat!, there's probably solutions online) Find the median of a 5 element array with only 6 comparisons between elements. (I don't care what you do that isn't some sort of comparison)

I was dabbling with the introductory tutorials on https://www.tensorflow.org/ but I find it very hard to do the next step from just following a tutorial since I am lacking the ML background (and my linear algebra is like 15y rusty ).

(I don't care what you do that isn't some sort of comparison) In other words, sort a 5 element array using only 6 comparisons (math says you can do it in 7 - Ph.D. thesis (Stanford University) by H.B. Demuth (1956).

Technically you don't need to fully sort the array to find the median, though I can't think of a method in 6 comparisions off the top off my head nor can I tell if it's possible.
