I recently got a call from Blockbuster saying they might be interested in hiring me. I guess I passed the pre-screening interview they gave over the phone, as they set me up with an in-store interview. I'm wondering if anyone who works or worked at Blockbusters can tell me what the interview process is like. Also any stories (horror or good) on the job, would be interesting and nice.
Thanks.

I've heard it's not bad as far as first jobs go...

As long as your not an extreme case (manic depression [oxymoron] or a kleptomaniac) and very nice towards other people and willing to learn and helpful. You've pretty much aced the interview already, unless their looking for more then that but I doubt it as it is a casual job, like working at Macca's or other fast food places, albeit, with better pay
GOOD LUCK!

I imagine the job would be 10x better if you worked there when pokemon stickers were popular. From what I hear though, the job is pretty nice.

I've had a few friends that have worked there over the years... as far as I know they liked it with the exception of having to work late (midnight-ish?) and the fact that they're open on most holidays. Should be a fine job if those things don't bother you.

My brother has been a manager at BB for over a year now. He says it's alright but his specific head manager is stupid and shit at running the store. The job itself is fun, you just organize, restock and talk about movies/games. You get 10 free rentals a week and you get the new releases 1 week before they are open to the public. Just become a stoner and watch movies
