All added at LP Groups C and D are going to see 4/6 of their matches on the two new maps, while A and B will mostly be played on FS and CB. Will be very interesting

LowLatency program will be allowed in ASL. What is LowLatency? It's a hack that let you to have the best ping in the game and fast response. You can take a look at my old review of this program.

This attitude... I was trying to explain to people who don't know about it in a nice way. I also started using this long time ago, and a lot of korean users use this to improve their game quality. Sure, it is a LAN EVENT. However, UDP's speed is not the same as LowLatency's program's speed. That was my goal. If you would like to argue about this LAN speed vs LowLatency, then I can prove it to you how it's different.

If you would like to argue about this LAN speed vs LowLatency, then I can prove it to you how it's different. this hack is invented by a foreigner and its pretty well known back then, you can even search for info on TL "There are two ways to change the latency of the game. One requires everybody to have the same setting. This changes a parameter which is 2 on LAN and 5 on BNet. Commands can only be given on a multiple of this parameter, so decreasing this value also decreases the variance of the latency. This one is used by the LatencyChanger in ICCup and Chaoslauncher. Because everybody needs it, and thus everybody has the same reduced latency it gives nobody an advantage, but of course that also means that it is useless for public games. Also the latency dialog still works, so you can increase the latency there if the game lags. The second one changes the latencysetting from the latency dialog. This setting can normally chosen from 2(low) to 4(extra high). This latency changer changes this value to 1 and ignores the latency-setting. If you use that method it only applies to you, and nobody else. This method is used by KloMeister's latency changer (and the LAN version of my latencychanger). Because the latency-setting in the dialog is ignored, you can not increase the latency to fix lag. Because this reduces the latency only for you, and nobody else and thus gives you an advantage it can be considered a cheat, but also allows this method to be used in public games. The available for everybody to download argument is stupid, because the same applies for maphacks. Everything which gives you a onesided advantage without the opponent knowing can be seen as a cheat." yes its a cheating hack, but if 2 people are using it, it does not mean anything. this hack is only a problem if there is large latency between 2 players, if the host uses this hack the high lat guy will suffer because he cannot change lat setting anymore by selecting high lat to reduce lag. also LAN latency is fine enough and players have been on it for 15+ years until now, why the sudden change? so is Fish server allowing players to use this too?

A lot of the pros use it right now including FLash, Effort, Mong, Hero, Hiya, Zero, and etc. Larva doesn't use it bc he doesnt like it for some reason. Fish server does allow it. A lot of people in Korea use it.

the hack's bad point where it removes the function of the lat setting menu is meaningless for korea. Why? simply because everyone are playing against each other on very low latency, right down to single digit latency. so nobody there needs to touch the lat setting menu, unless some idiot is playing on wireless or a korean is playing a foreigner (haha).

Good inside details about the methods. And also thanks to the programmer. I can't physically prove that playing on Win XP & CRT monitor on UDP is much much faster than Win 7 & modern monitor. But I noticed that from the old FPVOD, their latency looks like playing with the lowlatency program on Win 7. LAN latency is still fine enough even now, but most of the players in Fish(Koreans) use this. They seem like they can't play without this once they are used to this program. I do not know about the sudden change. Probably people started to spread about this more and more so nearly all people are using this now.
