"So you did what? www" w being an abbrevation of warau, which means laugh. Japanese don't use "lol" obviously. Normally you'd write just "w" but given the magnitude of laughter, it's a lot more common to actually go wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww or whatnot. I do it all the time. But then it comes to translating it, and the most direct is probably either "lololololol" or, what I think might be a bit softer on the tone, "looooooooooool" It's not really as rude as it might seem, is my point, because it's more-or-less a common way of laughing. There's no equivalent to the ROFLs and LMAOs and ROFLMFAOs of English that I know of, except stacking w and using facemarks (the intricate Japanese smiley faces). | ||
