Here's to hoping one day that eSports professionals play well into their 40's, like football, tennis, soccer, etc. Maybe one day there will be college sponsorships (I know theres a few here and there for league), so that players can get a degree and then continue playing professionally after school.
Dream~ Is 25/26 really that "young" for a pro-gamer? I think that he's pretty old now; his first tournament win was 8 years ago, and it's not like pro-gaming's a permanent vocation.
Does anyone actually have stats on the average SC2 player retirement age?

The wording is pretty sad but it's honest. Seeing jd in code S would be sick. I hope it happens!

I don't have any stats, but I believe the important number is that Koreans have to do their military service before they're 30 (though I can't find any solid facts on the web, this is the number I've always heard said here). So while as a Jaedong fan I'm hoping he'll keep playing as long as possible, he's definitely in the phase now where he's counting on one hand the years till he does his service. I'm not sure about the exact rules, but I haven't seen any pro's really delay till like 29, so Jaedong will probably go in one or two years.

Has joining EG cut his career short to the point where he may be retiring very soon. Mechanically he is a beast of player and when i see the changes made to Zerg in this expansion he could do really well if he trains and plays in Korea.
Lets hope he stays in the scene and shows us the real JD
