I understand also I agree. Circulation of retiring and new players gives the game the longevity in long term. But can you name me atleast three players from S. Korea that "joined" SC2 "still so-called pro scene?" How so that BW has more viewers than SC2 nowadays and that a lot of Koreans rather play BW again (sorry for that rhetorical question).

Player streams aren't as popular for SC2, but tournaments still get really good viewership and there is a demand for tournaments so the pro scene in that sense is good. You do have a point though in that there isn't a lot being done to foster new talent, we haven't had a breakout star from Korean since Solar so I think we need to do something about that. Also I think a lot of Koreans are streaming BW because a) the money is good and b) it's a game that they grew up with and really and enjoy and have a passion. The same can be said about Sc2 both competitively and casually imo

Moderators warning and banning for simply saying the truth "Starcraft 2 DOESNT HAVE any progaming scene anymore" are ridiculous. Dont hide. Face the truth. Our love and passion is gone for good... Oh please. There is still a considerable scene. We have players that are true professionals both in Korea and outside of it. Seems like it has shrunk on the Korean side, while lots of foreigners seem to have renewed interest for obvious reasons. Even the closest thing to compare to, BW, is still much smaller and I don't think there is anyone that is doing it professionally. Games like Quake lingered on with much less support for a long time and there many titles that have never been anywhere near the level of current SC2 and still managed to have meaningful competitive play.

-> New WCS System -> Koreans retire -> more and more Koreans lose interest -> Less competition for foreigners -> Foreigners are better in comparison -> a foreigner wins Blizzcon because all the Koreans are gone -> success! It's sad to see so many Koreans go. But let's face it: for these foreign-Koreans, there was basically no other way out due to the new WCS system and I think that's really bad. Making one region stronger and give them more money by destroying another scene just seems odd to me.
