Thank you flash! I hope you read it here, too!
I wish the interview was longer, I could read it all day long... It would be nice to know some more.

There is so much to talk about and discuss, and so many people to ask the questions, that Flash's interview schedule could be occupied for quite some time to come.

Many players who had achieved stardom have lost fans due to their questionable behavior on live streams and there was concern about Flash going down that road as well. What is this in reference to? maybe it's something lost in translation. i don't really follow bw-streaming aside from favourites but some of the outliers are terror (no stardom) jaehoon (not much stardom) for stream cheating, or something along those lines, though it wasn't a huge deal and it happened outside of an actual stream session. the only person i can think of who could even fit the bill is bisu. skt1 coach iloveoov made some comments about how it was unbecoming of a sc player like bisu to stream for donations. (not verbatim here, but you get the gist). although i love watching his play even on stream, it does seem a bit like a money grab. again, i don't even know if this fits the bill. very incredibly likely i'm missing some key info, but this is why i say it might be lost in translation. hes more or less talking about bisu but there are a few guys who have been streaming for so long and haven't succumbed to outright asking for donations, like Mind or guys like larva who now generally has a more serious attitude towards the game and therefor does not do weird stuff like jump out of a window....Really it comes down to your personal preference, if you want to be that guy who entertains for money then cool. in the end though flash will probably stream if for no reason other than to satisfy his fans, hes just that kind of guy, my only hope is that he doesn't go "full afreeca". really larva? I saw him a couple weeks ago on terror's stream fighting in a boxing ring against some viewer. it was the cringest shit ever lol I think taking terror out of the discussion (because lets face it he was barely a progamer), the main root of all this "progamer loses face to earn money on afreeca" stemmed from pusan. he used to go down on all fours and crawl around the room acting like a dog for balloons shit was hilarious

Some BW oldbies have been streaming strictly for money, screaming at cam/shaving eyebrows for money, treating viewers differently based on how much they donate, etc. Former STX Soul Terror is one of the biggest examples. TL Wiki says he was banned from Afreeca because he competed with middle schoolers eating ramen and the ramen was too spicy. Not true. When the middle school kids lost, he sprayed Soy sauce all over them with a big tub and that got on the 9 o'clock news. SCBW Afreeca streamers is a tentative subject since many former SC players currently stream BW. (Sea, Bisu, Best, The Rock, JulyZerg etc), so it is natural that coaches and players are hesitant about this. I know for a fact that recently Bisu kissed a girl on cam when a viewer donated a big sum of money. Best lost a match vs Terror (Best gave vision and took out 1 probe after start) and shaved his eyebrows on cam. These were the 2 most recent ones that were a big issue in DCinside Starcraft Gallery.

Than on the other hand it's obvious, that the very outgoing afreeca scene is kind of a "shock" to the established Pro's and Teams since it's so contradictionary to the way pro gamers normally act (very humble, upright, etc )

Is this a two class community here now? That's a rather tilted view, but any questions about moderation are best taken to Website Feedback where we can best answer them. I have seen similar decisions in the past 1-2 years. It might still be tilted but it happend quite a lot. i have to agree with this actually.

Of all the examples, someone had to mention the most extreme case? Terror is an anomaly. He belongs to an elite club consisting of himself and himself only. He is in a class of his own, dozens of levels higher than your average streamer on the entirety of Afreeca.

he still makes a ton of money though, according to this table regarding top afreeca BJ earnings in the month of november 2015 terror is up there at #8, 493,296 "balloons" which converts to 38,161,379 KRW (his cut is 80% because he is a partnered BJ) which is roughly $32370.77 USD.
