If i don't get any answers, we will be punching Nazis in FATE. Or maybe we do stuff in Maid. Both of those don't need a lot of preperation from you guys.

My Name Is . . . Manny Farnsworth And I Am . . . An old man, a retired soldier? What’s been keeping you awake? Pain, sorrow, worry, medication side effects, guilt, coffee. What just happened to you? We were going out for a walk, like we used to do. I forgot my gloves and went back inside the house for them, while my wife went ahead outside. When I came out she was gone. It was as if the earth opened up and swallowed her whole. I called out her name, but there was no answer. What’s on the surface? A grey haired, wisened old man, looking a bit lost. He's probably 60 ish years old. He probably wears a hat whenever he gets a chance, smokes a pipe. What lies beneath? A lonely old man racked with guilt and pain. His body is starting to wear out, and he takes a lot of medication in order to endure his joints. Misses his wife and sits up late, late at night wondering what happened to her. Did she possibly just leave him? Or was there something else? What’s your path? What the hell just happened? I need to find my wife, or an explanation for what happened to my wife, set things right or settle the score, then come to terms with my past and move forward in order to be there for children and grandchildren. Exhaustion Talent Drove a lot of vehicles in the military, found an instinct for them. If I'm on a vehicle, I can probably figure it out. Madness Talent Supernatural strength, resiliance and power and turn into Hulk like demonic creature in high stress situations?

Kyle Bravo, ex-police officer Whats Keeping Him Awake A combination of improvised drug substances and a several severe addictions, including nicotine, keeps him up at all times, although sometimes his delusions are so vivid they could almost be called dreams. He is smoking almost constantly, often lighting up a cigarette just as the last one ends. He fears his dreams, and if he thinks he is hallucinating he might burn himself with a cigarette to snap out of it. What Just Happened To Him He finally washed out from the police force, a long time coming. Before he left he stole pretty much every drug present in the evidence lock-up, and the police are sure to track him down soon. His constant using makes it difficult to establish clear edges of reality; he often hears sounds of sirens or boots running up the stairwell. He has to get out, go somewhere his old colleagues won’t find him. What’s on the Surface A degenerate druggie who’ll do anything to get a fix. Dirty jeans and a dirtier hoodie, as well as a facemask covers most of his now grey, almost dead looking, skin. Has tricked a lot of smart people and knows his way around a con. Deadbeat and running out of his final supply of narcotics. What Lies Beneath Talented, charismatic guy who fell in with the wrong crowd. The path to drugs was influenced by the need to seek new thrills. Feelings like anger and happiness take a back seat quickly if he needs to focus on getting his fix. What’s Your Path Drugs, drugs, and more drugs. Kyle wants to set up his own network with suppliers, dealers, and of course buyers. Exhaustion Talent Making people sympathize with his point of view. Madness Talent He is able to visualize any person completely by any print they leave in the physical world. For example: if he hears someone’s footsteps he can see them in his head, know who they are; if he catches a scent of someone he just knows who it is. Problem is that his paranoia does the same thing and separating reality from delusions is getting harder.

I think Kyle Bravo's path could be a bit more interesting, because with being left alone being your ultimate goal the only way to engage you in anything is by having it jump in your face and directly affecting you. Regarding the talents, the Exhaustion ones look good as is, for the madness ones i would say that for Kyle, it becomes harder to use (more madness dice) the more distant the print is. So if you hear someones footsteps right now, it would be only 1-2 dice. If you find an 80 old heart scratched into a tree, it would be something like 3-4 (We should also clarify if you see them as they are now or as they were when they left the print), and if it is even more remote, both emotionally and temporally, it might be up to 6. For Manny, you will need to be a bit more exact. Do you just want to be super strong, superman style, or do you literally want to Hulk out and grow massive shirtripping muscles? In both cases i would also tie the amount of madness dice to the difficulty of your the feat of strength you want to accomplish.

Steven, Steven Odwyer, art connoisseur extraordinaire. What’s been keeping you awake? Coffee, and the stress of working several barista jobs. After acquiring my fine arts degree in medival transilvanian panorama painting, I've shockingly been left without any real opportunity to put it to good use! So I did what any self respecting American would do and put my honed skills to use at a Starbucks. However, my drug habit soon forced me to borrow money for somewhat shady characters, to pay them back I've turned to working more shifts at different coffee shops across town. However, it's not looking so good and I, in turn, spend an awful lot of time looking over my back, peeking into the shadows for mobsters that might lie in wait. What just happened to you? I was absolutely delighted when I heard that my newest discovery the Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti were playing a show in town. So naturally I made my way to the venue. It was a cold December night, but no matter, I was high on MDMA and determined to have a metaphysical, asomatous experience like no one has ever had before. As I climbed down into the abandoned subway station, turned mosque, turned underground rave party my vision got dizzy for a moment. I closed my eyes in an attempt to rest up, fearing that I'd gotten a bad patch of pills from my dealer. When I opened them again, the subway station was gone. It had been replaced by a football stadium, crowded with people, in the middle of it Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti riffing through their latest smash hit, teenage girls fading around them and all that. Spooky. What’s on the surface? Fuzzy beard, an eerily thin moustache, low cut v-neck shirts, thick black plastic rimmed glasses that only fill half the frame and an abundance of sailor tattoos as well as a constant smell of caffeinated beverages. What lies beneath? Steven is driven by the desire to be different. He wants to tread where no man has ever been before. He loathes the necessities of everyday life, such as having to work to survive. At heart he's a hedonist. What’s your path? Hiw own art gallery, obviously only filled with his own paintings. Now that wouldn't be half bad. Maybe with an antiquated, gigantic espresso machine attached to it. Oh and recognition by his peers of course, not enough to be widely famous, but a quantity which ensures that his art will sell well. Exhaustion Talent There's no beverage Steven hasn't heard of, if you want something special to drink, maybe to impress a ladyfriend, or a business partner, he can make it. Madness Talent Strange, ghostly tunes, seemingly played on an orchestra composed out of only synthesizers waft around Steven. Sometimes soothing people, putting them into a state of mind where they're more likely to agree with him. On other occassions the full force of vibrating air assaults those opposing him, throwing them through the air, all while turning them mad due to the unfathomable amount of synthing going on.

He started having nightmares about his life falling slowly apart and they always end with either him or his girlfriend (Janita) dying. Every day he is worried that somebody might discover his general fear of his job and that he might not be able to treat patients any further and as a result lose his job. What is on the Surface: pale small (ca 1,70 m) Usually wears a jacket and jeans. 0815 brown haircut. What lies beneath? During his youth he travelled alot and is a fast learner which is whyhe had the time to learn up to 6 additional languages: german, french, chinese, korean, portuguese, russian Madness Talent: because of his constant fears he has learned to have an extraordinary reaction time, slightly seconds he can visualise what will happen before it actually happens.

Who are you? Dr. Alexander Oswald, Neurologist What’s Been Keeping You Awake? During my work as a Neurologist I had a few cases of insomniac people (as in with madness talent and death as soon as they couldn't stay awake), which resulted in a great fear of sleeping, after I saw, what happened to them. To avoid sleeping, I constructed a gadget, that shocks me with electricity every 15 minutes, keeping me awake. What just Happened to you? Unfortunately I noticed symptoms, similar to my patients recently, which means that I have to find a cure for this stuff rather soon. To do that, I just tracked down other people having the same problems, as I do, to have fresh material for my studies. What’s on the surface? Male, 50-55, Short trimmed beard, that starts to turn grey. Wearing a rather expensive suit, when not at work. On the surface, I just want the best for everyone to finally get rid of this disease/condition, so that we can all live on as normal people. What lies beneath? While just being able to cure the condition would be nice, curing it and keeping the madness talent would be an improvement to humanity. If I would have to cut out other insomniacs brains and study them to achieve that... Well, sacrifices must be made - For the humanity! For science! (And for me). What’s Your Path? I already have achieved nearly everything material in life. This whole madness-buisness is a threat, but it is also an opportunity to control the madness, to collect more and more madness talents and to become a more powerful entity than an average human could ever imagine - and I will become that entity. Exhaustion Talent My job; investigating brains to find out things about them; I guess, that I have at least some technical competence to be able to do this. Madness talent TBD, I'm tired and can't really come up with something atm., I'll try to gome up with something tomorrow morning, when I'm well rested again.

So what do you guys think about just tying the powers of generation directly to the immortal age of a vampire instead? With some sort of function like 5 Years ==> 12th gen 50 Years ==> 11th gen 100 Years ==> 10th gen or another similar distribution that makes sense. For those of you who have aquired generations at character gen, this would mean that they have torpored around for a bit, or just done a bit of stuff before the campaign. Do you guys think this might be good idea, or would you prefer it if it stay the way it currently works? One additional point i noticed while reading the book is that we kinda went a bit overboard with the natural abilities of the vampires, and have given some abilities that are tied to the Protean Discipline to all vampires. Specifically, you should not normally have perfect nightvision unless you activate protean 1, which makes your eyes glow red.I would agree that vampires have better eyesight than humans in the dark, but it is still a nuisance unless you have that ability. Similarly regarding the clawings, while we can keep up the descriptions like we earlier have, the rules state that a vampire who does not use Protean 2 would do simply Strenght dmg in unarmed combat, not the Strength + 1 we used before, and i would say we should go with that. On the other hand, if you grow claws as per Protean 2, you would do Strength + 2 AGGRAVATED Dmg instead. Now, i would probably just ignore this and go with what we already have established, but since some people in the group do have Protean it would be quite unfair to them if others had similar abilities for free. You should generally take a look at the Melee Maneuvers on page 194/195, some of them might be really useful for some of you, specifically the Double Strike for those of you who want to do knifings. And as far as i have now understood, even if it does not say so, Grappling is indeed a prerequisite for biting.

There should still be somethng cool happening if we elect to diablerise someone though, since it does come with major drawback from what I understand. I still want to eat that scummy Tzimscisciiceaiceicie count. No opinion on the protean stuff, but it's probably fairer for Olof that way. Also, didn't we already agree you had to grapple if you're trying to suck someone during combat? Or did you guys handle that differently last week?

I am coming more and more to the conclusion that they basically copied half of the rules section of the book from the basic Vampire The Masquerade game of that time, and probably from time to time just forgot a few rules. I am willing to consider gaining a discipline or two or something like that from eating a guy, but there will also be some costs, such as possibly setting you back on your path, and other consequences from some remainder of the soul you just destroyed staying inside you.

Given how miserably the entire line of books is laid out it wouldn't surprise me if that's what happened. ^_^

0+ ---> 12th 50+ --> 11th 100+->10th 220+ -->9th 350+ --> 8th 500+ --> 7th 1000+ -->6th With possibly a bit of handwaving involved in dealing with the whole Tremere situation. This also means that those of you of higher than 12th gen need to put a bit of thought into what you have been doing for this time. Have you been doing stuff, or just torporing around? Another thing i think i should mention is that Dominate will not always lead to random murderings, i think it is necessary to mention this because the first time you used it it happened. The main reason it happened in this case was because i liked the idea and thought it sounds fun. I will not generally try to fuck you over by making things go as badly as possible whenever you dominate someone (Though i will reserve the right of doing so if i like the idea in that specific situation )
