On a more serious note, if Scarlett can find the form she had over the last two months, she should win this thing.

Naniwa have my two cents. I think that he is the smarter player and therefore will be better prepared for this BO7.

Chinese central bank caused a big drop apparently. My guess is that, longterm, bitcoin is only gonna rise because it just makes much more sense than a physical bank, in current day and age. It will be volatile for a few more years of course.

As someone said if the bubble implode it'd be hilarious and make organizors look really dumb for using bitcoins. Well the important thing is that regardless of whether or not an event would be absolutely ruined, you'd be able to feel smug and superior to everyone who made this happen, so there's that.

But even if they are on par with korean players the probability to win against 5-10 of them in a tournament is slim. I'm really looking forward to this game. True, they both have a 51% win-rate against Koreans in an offline setting this year, which is comparable to Jaedong (54%), Bomber (54%), Parting (54%), and better than DRG (49%), Stardust (48%), Ryung (46%), Alicia (46%) and Mvp (44%). JD, Bomber, Parting, Stardust and Mvp all won premier tournaments so one could argue that neither Naniwa/Scarlett winning one is a little bit of bad luck, probably due to there only being 2 of them and way, way more Koreans. Bo7 is fine, Bo9 is only better if we assume both players will give it their all on every single map which just isn't the case. I also wonder if the Bo9 being favourable to Zerg historically has to do with HyuN at Fightclub. But I guess that Protoss is more reliant on surprising the opponent and it's harder to do that 5 times successfully than it is to do that 4 times.

I think we can agree that that situation is incredibly unlikely to occur, so no real worries about the prizepool. More so than the money, this is about bragging rights, both players have made good bank this year already. Btw, have you by any chance found gainful employment as a circus director at any time in your career?
