In my eyes, what Bumatlarge is doing has very little town justification to it. He's said actively and openly that we should lynch the inactives, or even those to be modkilled, and not only is that incredibly risky to guess/assume, it also most likely won't hit mafia and I think he knows that. It's easy to say and seems townie, but actually isn't.
And then there's this post:
On December 11 2013 01:58 bumatlarge wrote: Spaghetti man is pretty mafia. I'd lynch him if pandain was here. Kushmasta seems super silly. If you have to (/green) things this early that aren't questions to the host, you are playing badly.
##Vote Pandain
Says this guy is likely mafia, and then still wants to lynch me. I thought this game was always about lynching who was scummy, not who is making your life harder by not posting much 24 hours in.
Finally, he hasn't actually contributed anything of his own accord early on; he's only answered questions.
I checked his town game in PYP, and there's a lot different in that there was a pre-phase where bans/picks were had; but still he wasn't arguing to lynch inactives or modkills(which could still happen), and he was actively contributing of his own accord.
Also, in regards to Spag read. Why did you feel it apt to mention him as your top scum read only to rescind it within the next post? If you are going to post something along the lines of "I want to lynch this scummy player" then surely your first intention is to read that player? Also why, if he was top scum read do you want to lynch into modkill territory over someone that you find scummy?

I am of the belief that unless a seriously good candidate comes up, the day one lynch is probably the best time to get rid of lurkers/noncontributors.
Question. Would scum alakaslam continue posting in this manner despite thread saying he'd get lynched for it? What would be the net benefit to that kind of scum play?

He has chosen a way to play and hopefully we can discourage him from continuing with it
That's what I'm getting at, since we called him out on hit he actually switched his playstyle to a more coherent one and contributed and then reverted back to the old play intertwined with it. I see that as more of a wanting to use a strategy to discover information than survival tactics.
depends on how you look at it.
He reverted out of it once he picked up 2 quick votes and people were talking about maybe voting for him. When everything breezed over he went back to trolling. It can be twisted anyway you want it to be. From the story I just told, that's survival tactics.
Well I'd agree but the last 2 pages of his filter are coherent and thoughts, it is only that last post that was quoted that was an out of the blue revert but as LSB said that was to illicit a reaction out of someone (stop ruining plans lsb)! So, in actuality he is contributing - or more to the fact that he isn't being detrimental like he was at the start.
On December 11 2013 10:16 Holyflare wrote: Also, what happened to your sidesprang lynch? I take it that has disappeared if you are mentioning lynching slam over him?
Dunno, no one was talking about it so I decided to pressure slam. I'd rather lynch sidesprang if we get the traction
I have to go to sleep, I'm sorry. I just moved back home after finals and am exhausted. I'll contribute a lot more then that, but it would end up being pretty bad analysis anyway.
Voting him in the rare chance I sleep for 18 hours since I'm not using an alarm clock
only have followed thread on phone during certain points, so I have no strong opinions but I was fortunate enough to catch most of bum's posts so that's why I noticed him

Man, you are taking that too far now. Did you even read what I wrote? Here.

You just agreed with a players reasoning based on a game you played with LSB which is the definition of meta >_>..... I'm not going to hammer this point anymore because I'm sure everyone gets it now but if you are in fact town I want to see more scum hunting from you.
For now, a current assignment. What do you think of LSB's vote choice and the case on sidesprang?

If anything it looks like slam is genuinely in a struggle to get to grips with how to recover back to townie status. I like his general direction from the end of page 3 to now. He is showing that he is willing to drop his previous state to get into the game rather than continue with an act that nobody liked. While certain aspects need to be polished, I don't think he's a great lynch for today.
to your first question, I wing everything I say regardless of alignment so I don't see how that is relevant. That's more of a personal choice to overthink things or just type.
I think anyone would want to be considered town regardless of alignment and this is my theory:
His scum team started yelling at him to stop fucking around in his chat
or he is simply town and doesn't want to get lynched, because who does?
Back after a stupid day of bullshit shopping. Smurfing is hard with my phone. I'm going to re-read the thread from the start when I wake up, too tired to do it right now.

Well I'm not saying he couldn't be scum or town but his attitude is improving and I don't think he's done anything scummy to warrant a lynch as of yet.
I would say that coming out of his persona is pretty scummy but I digress. It's more then a policy lynch from me at this point. He didn't even break persona in Time To Die after being asked to many times. The fact that he broke here so easily leads me to believe that he is not the same alignment.
The sidesprang case is the bait and switch one right? He isn't too active, which is usually what you do if someone accuses you and they are right. He doesn't have alot to go on.

OK this sentence just reeks of a scum mindset w/ the knowledge that cora is town. Because yes, asking someone to vote for yourself is anti-town when you are actually town. But if you're scum then it's just a kinda dumb, ballsy move. But it isn't anti-town.
Any comments on this? @ least would like to hear what people think of sidespring.
i think it's equally dumb as either alignment, 100% alignment neutral. What is your point sir?
btw voting you now based on on your scummy posting pattern. Also you bring up your shit point and want people to comment on it like its gold. ##unvote ##vote jarjar
My point was that I wanted to know if anyone had comments on it and I wanted to know people thought of sidespring. Pretty sure that was implied.
I'm reading sidespring as scum and would like to know if other people are as well.
You think that asking people vote for yourself is alignment nuetral? Great, I agree that a person doing that doesn't help tell you what their alignment is.
What I'm saying though is that it's anti-(whatever alignment that person is). So to say it's anti-town seems to imply that the person saying it is town.
So before you call my point shit, make sure you understand what I'm saying.
Exactly I currently view everyone as town, people have done scummy things. But no one are scum In my eyes yet, if so I would have voted for em. So why I would phrase that in any other way I really do not know, and tbh you just seem desperate to find something that is not there.
He is from Norway, his English might not be the best, but he has odd ways of approaching the game. He just needs to post more I think.
LSB, can you point out exactly what the bait and switch was from?
Well i attempted to find things to discuss but it's all................... meh? It's all Cora specific - "here's why he is scummyish but I won't push for his lynch, xatalos is also quite scummy but I won't push for him either". "I need to hear what he says first, even though I raised these points about him".

I made my initial case on cora to bait reads out of other people, sidesprang was one of the reactions that was negative.
