How small is the audience there? It sounds like 10 people clapping.

And is currently on a 8-match win streak. I would love to be that lucky.

A LAN win to close out the year for JD would be fantastic right now.

The expectations set for Jaedong are way too high, you're not going to one up taking 2nd at the global finals with anything other than winning the GSL or next year's WCS finals.

Have you watched a Jaedong ZvZ? He makes 2 lings when his pool finishes, gets a full scout of both opponents hatches most of the time. At that point, you can see if your opponent is droning or pooling lings. That alone would have given Vortix a chance of survival.
Even if not, most top korean pros make a swell of lings and/or a bane nest for the 'to and fro' before dropping tech. It is just part and parcel of ZvZ. You gather intel by making units, you drone while you attack, your opponent makes lings back, he drones while he pushes you back.
Vortix did not of that. He made no attempt to scout Life's drone lines. He had no ovies in position to check gas etc. He did not try to run a few lings into Life's main or nat to check drone levels. Instead, he dropped a blind third, and two evos without a bane nest. Not even a spine.
Could you be greedier? It's not a BO loss. It's taking a HUGE risk that, if you make it to the mid game, will pay off. It was deservedly punished.
