Now I just wonder if he was lying to us or you
Or both. Probably lied to you to make him seem more "badass" or something. But yeah, interesting drama.

The head of a organization on this level still has to use his dads cc?

Sad to see you getting screwed. Organisation ran by a guy who books a member of that organisations travel on their daddy's credit card. Organisation ran by a guy without his own credit card/ bank account Organisation... ??? I hear over in the US they have lemonade stands in the suburbs ran by kids. I bet even they are more organised than that... Edit - Business, team, organisation, company, who the fuck cares. Point still stands.
Er, what?
It's not like my statement was disagreeing with you in any way... I just highlighted your post because it made me think 'wait, is this even organised enough to be called that?'.
Your point is valid of course.

Nothing to talk about really. Your post says it all.

If you were in the room, looking at the booking and made the booking and then gave him the money then it's not really his fault that the dates were wrong. That's what it looks like happened from the logs. After that, I'm not really sure why Simon didn't just reschedule the flight for you and have you pay the difference, that's what I don't understand. I think the comments in this thread are pretty idiotic though. It would have been simple enough for him to reschedule and let Massan pay the >$150. Instead he kicks Massan off the team after pocketing $1400 illegally. That's why people are making the comments they are about the situation. There could be a problem though with the fact that Massan already took one of the flights, if the flights were booked together and he already took the flight from canada to atlanta then maybe they wouldn't let them change the 2nd part? I don't know but if I put myself in Simons shoes and had someone sit next to me and tell me what to book for them, I book it, and then they come at me trying to get a refund and stuff then I might say it's not my fault because that's what we booked together. We don't really know the details, I just don't understand why if Simon would let Massan live with him for 3 months and pay for his food and etc then why would he intentionally try to rip off Massan? Obviously this wasn't the intention, they booked the flight together. Everything was fine until it was realized that he needed to change the flight schedule. There was no "scam", Massan couldn't contact the airline with the exact details while Simon could. Massan could only ask them general questions whereas Simon would have called with the flight number, credit card information, etc and then ask about rescheduling the flight. We don't know what they told him. Plenty of flights will advertise "hassle free service" which was what Massan was referring to in the OP but everyone should know that what's advertised isn't generally what it's like.
You can still find workarounds for many situations, and if Simon was so pressed/busy he couldn't do his job effectively he should have given the flight information to Massan or a player manager to do the job instead.
Unfortunately in most eSports organizations the owners/CEOs (from what I've seen) are too directly tied to the day-to-day fiscal operations rather than being able to delegate and that's when mistakes are made.

Hey it's your life, but trust is uncommon these days so I don't know why you chose to break that.
Good luck in everything you do. What and sit back and let this guy slander him and ruin his reputation in the team/industry? What could silence here possibly have gained him?

i thought we all know nowadays quantic is shady and bad as fuck

NA "eSports organizations" besides the major ones like EG & Complexity are really just wannabe clans with someone that has a credit card to fund them.

This really, really sucks. I hope this all gets resolved. I like a lot of the guys on Quantic, so I hope they don't suffer as a result of this.
Best of luck Massan, I hope you find a team that gives you the respect you deserve.

I think most of you people are reacting too violently, what does insulting quantic will improve ? Nothing.
Before posting all of this on TL you didn't even think to talk about this matter with the other quantic operators such as Fujikura massan ? That's kind of a dumb decision. Even if the head of the state is an idiot it doesn't mean his ministers are too.
This is very unprofessional from both quantic and massan, and always in sc2 people can't solve their problems by using their brains.

I am so sorry to hear that Massan. Just watched an interview with the guy and he does seem pretty full of himself + Show Spoiler +
But the logs seem pretty damning and you come across as an honest guy. Hopefully you will get some form of justice.

We'll have to see if this has far reaching consequences. Quantic is a huge esports organization with squads in SC2, Dota 2, and LoL. Having a manager that would do this horrible to hear.
However, I have trouble seeing this as a scam set up over a length of time. It seems like a miscommunication, followed by a manager deciding he didn't care about the player anymore and decided not to put the effort into getting his money back.
Anyway I'll sit back and wait for an official response from Quantic.

I mean the guy was spreading rumors and lies about him within the team after kicking him. Massan probably freaked a little when that happened and needed to tell people he was innocent.

Did you even read this post? MaSsan is trying to save his reputation and was also robbed. Massan did nothing unprofessional here. You should try to use your brain.

And here I was thinking that Quantic's leadership was trustworthy and admirable.
Thanks for bringing this to light Massan. I hope you find a stable environment GL HF

The point of this was that he was attempting to slander Massan and that was when he made this post not because he expected to get the money back. From the information available it might be impossible to get a full refund on the ticket due to the time now too. That said he used his money to buy the ticket and it won't be used so if any money can be refunded to Massan that would, I imagine, be welcome.
