Pretty disgusting.
In the end, even if the flight was 2 part flight, I have never seen what amounts to a 90 day "stop over". Its likely 2 tickets one to the US from Canada, and another from US to Korea, even if it is one ticket you know what, I think most airlines would let you change one day earlier if you say its due to a VISA issue. And he offered to pay the difference, just as he DID pay the whole ticket price at no small sum either.
