EPTat first i thought of pm-ing someone on here to ask him/her directly about my concern, but then i realized i don't have any particular connection with anyone to be able to just send them a message expecting to be helped, so i'll just post it publicly:

how does the whole renting/purchasing - i'd obviously go for the purchase of the movie, i'm not that greedy - thing works? i don't think my friend has any of those services but amazon - who doesn't own an amazon account nowadays - but can i buy it and then give it to someone as gift? and how do internet contract work in canada, do you have limited band available? i wouldn't like to give her something that would suck up an entire month data cap (i know this depends on her internet contract, but still it might give me an idea on how to move).
i saw there's also the youtube option but from italy i'm not allowed to access that page, so i don't know if that's free to watch or what else.
