Normally i dont find myself playing other games than Starcrafts, Warcrafts and Diablos. I have bought several games that had really high rating but they ended burried in my steam acc like Boderlands 2 (yesterday i played it for 30min after 6 months i think) and TWD but from time to time a game shows up and i find myself playing it and enjoying it. Before buying a game i focus on few things, graphics, game type and gameplay.
The graphics are great, really colorfull and well done, the art is amazing and it blends toguether in almost a magical way. All since the ground to the enemies is just amazing.
RPG with lots of gun, potions and options, you will need to play the game for a long time to unlock all the things.
The gameplay is really good, easy and fun.
So waht Makes Bastion a GREAT game besides the 3 points i just said?
1. The OST, the music list of this game is amazing, i can listening the music all day, the songs are incredible, you MUST listen this soundtrack. Here two of my favorites songs
2. The history, i dont want to spoil shit but is great.
3. The narrative of the game while you play it is was one of the best things and ideas the developers could have, what a fresh touch they gave their game with this, the voice that follows you all the game is just unbelievable.
Finnaly, one of the best escenes i have seen in a long time, i almost drop a tear Spoiler Warning! + Show Spoiler +
The game is already a classic for me, played through the whole thing 2 times already (one time in New Game+ with all Idols) and still go back from time to time and work on unlocking all the Steam achievements just for fun for half an hour once in a while (edit: and I'm really the opposite of an achievements guy for most games). And I'm really not a Singleplayer guy usually and get bored after a couple of hours of playing AAA titles (or I even give up right during the tutorial because it usually takes forever and just feels like a gigantic waste of time).
I finished the game last year and it was one of the best stories in a game I've seen in a long time. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but after finishing the game I was left with a feeling of waywardness and loss, yet somehow it was a good feeling at the same time. It's hard to put into words, but finish the game and my words should make perfect sense.
