You mean tens to hundreds of thousands of people. Lol. Love it how people feel the need to be so aggressive and hateful towards one of the most valuable contributors to the esports scene and just gaming in general. Stay classy internet. Gratz Azera you got your 15 minutes of fame for more than just pretentious pseudo-philosophical blogs. Not all of his videos get the big numbers, his sc2 channel frequently has a few hundred views on a video, and I was no more aggressive and hateful than he was. If you guys didn't recognize that humor was the intent of the blog, that is not Azera's fault. And I reacted to tb like I would react to anyone else who made a post like that. As far as I am concerned tb is just another member of team liquid, and he made a post I found offensive. TB himself makes fun of his skill at sc2, he had a series called " I suck at starcraft" last time I watched his sc2 content, so I fail to see how he can find fault in someone else making a light hearted joke at his expense, as he does it himself. This wasn't Azera attacking total biscut, this was him using a piece of humor that tb uses, so I fail to see how tb got this offensive over a obvious joke.
And for the matter I fail to see why him being a celebrity means we have to treat him as some unapproachable demi god. He is just as human as anyone else, and that means if you have want people to not comment on his behavior and traits, than you my friend need to stay far away from the abl. TB is a human being who tends think that because he makes videos we have to excuse his occasional ventures into being a prickly codger, and I do not find celebrity to excuse such behavior. If azera had made this same blog about some random ladder game, and the random starcraft player came in and made the same post, if there was any result to it we would be having this discussion only about how he over reacted and missed that this was a attempt at humor, no matter how poorly you may find it executed. And to TB himself, I fail to see how a live report of a game that you played in is a personal attack against you as a person unlike some of the other posts made on this forum which I truly hope you continue to be the bigger man and ignore.

Actually that is very much his fault. Just because someone declares certain intent behind a creation doesn't mean that will or should be the ultimate public interpretation.

Personally I wouldnt dare to cast, if i had no clue about the game, but you know, there are different kinds of casters for different people. So its all good. Do you realize SC2 casting is only a very small fraction of what he does? Do you realize this man has put a lot of his own money into sponsoring tournaments, players (BlinG, CranK) and now a pro team as well? That he makes extremely well-put-together and informative content about the gaming scene, on a regular basis? TB worked his ass off to get to where he is now and keeps working his ass off to maintain this position and further help the scene grow. I can definitely see where he's coming from, when egotistical fucking pricks who have probably been following esports for 1 or 2 years at most come here with a "holier than thou" "lol this guy is bad" attitude like they actually know shit or they are actually worth shit. Guess what? They're not. Nobody says you have to enjoy his casting or content, but if you deny how much he's helped the scene grow and develop, you're a moron. There's really no way around that. EDIT: And I just gotta stress this again. I find it hilarious how most of these haters are very new to the esports scene, SC2 probably being their first esport. Guess what. 1. Because he's not a total noob at the game. Being in platinum makes him better than half of the people playing the game, which includes a lot of the people who rag on him, even though they would have you believe they're all top 16 GM.
2. Not everyone can be in good spirits (humor as you put it) when they put in a massive amount of effort into what they're passionate about, which also contributes massively to the development of a community, only to be shit on by some nobodies on the internet who have nothing better to do with their life. You're right, humor would be a better reaction, but do you seriously not see where he's coming from?

OP is a 2 for the time and effort but the thread doubles the value. A 4. A rather weak 4, but a 4.

I didn't say he's unapproachable or necessarily a far superior person. He does deserve critique where applicable and it's definitely okay to disagree with him or his views etc.
But the fact of the matter remains that he has done a great deal for this scene (in terms of exposure and bringing in new players, sponsoring tournaments and players and now an actual pro-team as well) and for gaming in general. When someone is enjoying the fruit of a scene that TB helped build and maintain, don't you think it's a LITTLE bit hypocritical and assholish for that person, who is very much irrelevant and hasn't contributed anything valuable whatsoever, to make this big blog about how TB sucks? And don't give me that whole "it's supposed to be funny" spiel, if this kid was anywhere near as good a writer as his massive pseudo-intellectual ego makes him out to be, I'm sure fewer people would've interpreted it this way.

So anyone can say anything on the internet and they shouldn't be held accountable for it because it was just a joke right? You realize what ridiculous situations this can lead to, if people follow this notion of yours? Like I could just go around telling people I want to fuck babies and bomb schools, but it's okay, I'm just joking, it doesn't matter that you don't perceive it as a joke. Please, think some more before you post, if you can't get it across to people that you're joking/satirizing/whatever, you should at the very least be ready to accept some flak for it, if not reconsider your approach to the whole thing.

Of course people can see where TB is coming from, and he's perfectly justified in asking for an apology since the OP offended him, but that doesn't mean we (well, the bystanders in general) have to think TB's not getting all worked up about something incredibly mild, esp. since TB's nowhere close to being a saint himself. He's definitely had his own jackass moments, and more often than not, doesn't apologize for them even when he offends people.
I don't think it's unreasonable to expect something like this to happen. When you say you suck at SC2 all the time, at some point someone's going to stand up and say, "Yeah, you really do suck, lulz." Sure, it's in bad taste, but you open yourself up to that sort of criticism when you're public with your self-deprecation; some person out there will take that as permission to mock you, even if only in a lighthearted manner.

So you are saying the next time a politician takes a article from the onion seriously we should blame the onion? The intent matters far more than how it is perceived, especially when it is a joke on the Internet. So the next time a tl staff member bans someone with a ban reason that people don't like and it goes to website feedback, you are going to be calling for that staff member to apologize and claim that she or he is at fault for someone mis interpreting his or her ban reason? I look forward to the next website feedback discussion of moderation. False equivalency is fucking awesome right? Lets you strawman your way out of every situation. Just because someone declares certain intent behind a creation doesn't mean that will or should be the ultimate public interpretation. If you had stated that it was in regards to team liquid blogs I would agree, however your statement left far more room to interpret than azera's blog did. I fail to see how you make a broad sweeping statement and take offense to it being understood as a wide sweeping statement. Wax was trolling you, he basically copypasted a response that TB gave earlier in this thread.

This thread is a solid 5/5 because TB continues to think that he's some kind of divine being and anything that insults him even in the most vaguest ways is a smear upon his royal dignity.

You are the definition of a baby. You're obviously spending a fortune on tissues... how about you save instead and buy some thicker skin? It's the Internet baby, and you're famous. If you can't handle a little criticism (not even what this really is, just an amusing bit) then good luck in the future!
