I can't speak too much about the SC2 scene, but KESPA teams are getting pretty active in foreign LoL. SKT1 and CJ Entus are at IEM right now actually. Hell, CJ Entus and KT Rolster B are getting pretty fucking good and I'll be expecting to see them in foreign lands more in the future. EDIT: Actually, looking at it from an LoL perspective, the original statement about OGN and KESPA not caring is a bit strange between Champion Summers and the KESPA teams, though I suppose understandable considering their history.

I still want to know exactly what happened between KeSPA and OGN that prevented an English Broadcast, since that's obviously ideal to have your casters at the venue and working full time on Proleague. Still, it's greatly appreciated and I hope it works out for the best. Now you just need to get Sayle to work a few weekend matches. I don't think it is hard to figure out. In the Brood War days, Proleague was produced by both OGN and MBC. Both companies had the rights for Korean broadcast, and both produced/broadcasted the matches played on their respective studios. IEG was given the rights for international broadcasts since last year. As the international broadcast is internet-driven, it is natural for IEG and KeSPA to try centralizing the broadcast and distribution of VODs. Thus EsportsTV in Youtube and now sc2proleague in twitch. Initially, IEG just broadcasted content produced by OGN. But now that IEG is producing the weekdays matches, and they already had the rights for international broadcasts, they might as well unify the production of international broadcasts. DoA did mention KeSPA was working with IEG on a unified platform. Thus the spat with OGN, as it was a conflict of the status quo (split production) vs. unified production. As things didn't work out, we now the production deal with EG-TL. A lot of this is speculation, trying to connect the dots. We don't know the details of planning and all that, but if you are struggling with production issues, might as well take some help and the added benefit of working with people that really know the audience.

Hopefully down the line the broadcasts will have studio setups with the commentators together (even if it is offsite, I think that's fine, so long as the crowd/bench/player shots are still in). Seconded. We'll do the best we can with the tools at our disposal and hopefully everyone will have a good time.

EDIT: Darn, it's not actually that hard because of the back to back "John" and "Jenna" and "Bain" and "Ben" "John and Jenna Bain and Ben" x 3 times, on the other hand...
