Added special functionality for Step 0 for Zerg. If there are multiple players, this step will be disabled. If a computer player is present, the map will not spawn the computer if the user chooses step 0. If the user restarts and chooses a different step, a computer player will spawn like normal.

Just search for TheStaircase (in custom games) and start playing, leave any bug reports and ideas for improvement here. Please keep in mind that this map is very new and will likely have many bugs, we will get to them as soon as we can and appreciate your patience. Maybe a stupid question, but is this map released on EU? I cannot seem to find it there. If it isn't, please note on which servers it is available. I wanted to test it

Recreate minerals that get mined out. Reset resource capacities back to initial amounts. In case anyone is interested, it was a pretty interesting problem that no one mentioned. I didn't see it until I played an abnormally long game. But when the minerals get depleted, and the map restarts, the minerals wouldn't be reset back to initial capacities and completely mined out minerals were just gone. I have also added recreation for high yield mineral bases, but that is not currently testable, and wont be until I push the system to a new map.

Yes, i mean, my minera/gas/supply go back to 0 but the mineral patches and gas geisers don't restart, so for example i lost doing my lvl 6 for terran, i played about 20 to 30min match by that time my main base is out of resources most of the time, i type gg on the chat to restart the game and try again, i select lvl 6 again and i have my CC and my SCVs but no mineral patches and one almos empty gas... Tho i have to say i feel that i have improved a lot with this, i got how to use the minimap better and found out how to scout a little bit better, my macro has improved, i'm still on lvl 9-10 but i feel more confident now, i even got my APM improved a lot since i understand the game better, thanks a lot i'm eaguer to finish all lvls and start laddering before the season block and see how far i can get :D Looking forward for that reset/gg problem to be solved ASAP since getting in and out every time you win/lose/screw up is time consuming and boring, and again thanks keep it up :D

I finished step 0 for zerg (or at least I think) and I was just looking around the map while still making sure to hit all my injects. Did I miss a small part of creep somewhere? or do I just know when I finish it? Awesome tool btw I really like it. No, step 0 is currently under the discretion of the player. I would hope you can tell when the map is covered in creep There may be plans in the future to statistically monitor when the player has completed this task, but nothing currently implemented.

There's a window when a pylon is finishing building (the warp-in animation is finishing), but you don't have the supply from it yet. If you try to build something during that window, the map counts it as a hard supply block. Or, it did for me (in one case). I don't know too much about the SC2 map editor, but this seems to me like something that would be really hard to fix. But I figured I'd at least let you guys know. By the way, this is a really cool idea for how to improve. It's easy to say "work on your macro" or "have better mechanics", but kudos to you guys for actually putting numbers on it.

You're telling people to only build Zealots/Marine/Zerglings for level 1, and moving up to a few units on the next levels without micro'ing their units at all or anything. It's just fucking pointless. This game is not that simple and there's no reason to practice this way, because it's 100% non-viable in any high level of play. Why would you practice a mechanically and strategically complex game using only 1 variable? If you want to master StarCraft 2, then you shouldn't play like an idiot on purpose. If you seriously cannot find yourself capable of doing 120'ish+ APM and correct unit compositions/timings every game, then you need to forget about any kind of goal of "improving" or becoming one of the best players, just play for lols, because you will be a joke forever. StarCraft 2 is not a game of long-term improvement or skill. There is 1 game, one 1v1 on ladder. or a Bo3/5/7/etc in a tournament settings. Why should you have a goal to have an "SQ" of a certain number and no supply blocks with only zealots/marines/zerglings? It has no relevance to standard and correct play. Once you implement more structures/units into the game the relationships fall apart, and what you did with only 1 unit doesn't work with 2, 3,etc. anymore. You cannot "master" this game in small baby steps. You will master it by playing the correct way over and over. You obviously know nothing about RTS gaming, and you should consider a different hobby, because you're going no where. User was banned (PBU). What does PBU mean ? Also Jak ! This is great taking things in steps is one of the best ways to learn
