Normally at this time the sun would be almost overhead my Massachusetts home.
Nope.This morning is different.
The sky has been overwhelmed by grayish clouds, and the wind is slowly picking up. Even though Sandy is still miles away, it's affecting the weather systems of the whole region.
The last time we had a storm like this, last year, power was cut for several days. I know that may not seem like so much to many people, but I rely on the Internet for everything I do.
At the very least, school is cancelled. I'll be able to take pictures and post them here before and during the storm.
I'm praying that nothing bad happens, but who knows...
I'll be right here to see it.

There is no other thread on this event on teamliquid and I think it's interesting. I just ctrl+f "Sandy" on the front page and hit this.

I am incredibly let down praet... Youve lured me into your filthy lair blog

I'm hijacking blog but this is why I was interested:
https://tamino.wordpress.com/2012/10/27/hurricane-sandy/
"New research from the Niels Bohr Institute in Denmark clearly shows that there is an increasing tendency for tropical cyclones when the climate warms"
[From the abstract]
"In particular, we estimate that Katrina-magnitude events have been twice as frequent in warm years compared with cold years"
Because seriously, there should be a thread about this and climate change, if not at the least live reporting from inside this fecker which is what I hope this blog turns out to be ^^.

5/5 for getting me ready for a blog about Shady Sands T.T

Not really.

Your neighborhood looks quaint and like a nice place to raise a family. May it not get blown away by the hurricane!
