I asked my parents to get me a credit card. They said no. Good for them, your financial problems are now your problem, don't try to pass it off. Also, using a credit card to build credit isn't a good idea if you can't afford payments, and is still a bad idea if you're using it to buy shit you can't afford. And if your purchases aren't significant enough, you will not get a 800 credit rating for buying Monsters and tic-tacs on a credit card. Which kind of leads to the problem if you use the credit card for major purchases, what with the no money thing, you'll just be in debt. At what cost? When I see an opportunity to pad my credit score (other than not being delinquent on anything EVER do NOT DO IT), like buying new tires or a laptop, I just use my credit card for the purchase then immediately transfer the money that I actually have from my checking/savings to the credit account. What's funny is that my lowest credit score has the explanation, "not enough debt history." So to build your credit moreso, you need some level of major debt (auto, mortgage). Just makes me laugh, you'd think having no debt would be a positive thing (but I still don't make shit for money)

I am never going to purchase a big thing, probably the biggest thing will be Hots for 60 assuming blizzard doesnt make us buy the game for like 100

On topic, I do not understand how life has not decided to come and slap the living hell out of you as of yet. Maybe that's six months down the road, one can hope.

You have a job on campus that requires zero effort. Your dad throws money at you like it's nothing. You have a place to live and a roommate who is not nearly as bad as you've made him out to be. However, if you keep doing what you're doing; you'll lose your job because you'll either get busted with drugs or get the piss test and get fired. Your dad will stop funding your drug habit and some girl will slap you down for being such a creeper. Its probably because you're 18, but your luck is bound to run out fairly soon.

Let me straighten some stuff out. My parents have stopped throwing money at me. They aren't giving me anything else. My campus job is nice I agree, my boss plays farmville half the time so I sort of doubt it is really taken seriously. Like I said My dad isn't giving me any money and I am just waiting for a girl to slap me down. I think though if she does try to slap me I will either run away or dodge her slap
