Note on Role PMs Role PMs differ wildly. Some people got a lot of flavor in their PM and some people got basically "You are X and this is what you can do" with no flavor. I did this on purpose (reason 1: too lazy to write a lot and want to save it for the day/night posts as much as I can) because I do not want to allow people to gain advantages by abusing the system/breadcrumbing. | ||

Most children here grow up with stories of the local serial killers and crime bosses. To an outsider, the good people of Liquid City might appear somber. Eyes seem to peer out of every dark alleyway with gazes both malicious and paranoid. Even houses in the suburbs come equipped with heavy bolted locks and bars on the windows. To an outsider, this all seems fairly strange. But to those who know the history of these bloody streets, it's hardly a surprise. Remember what happened to that mayor about fifteen years ago? Incognito was his name right? He was found decapitated in the bathroom of a truck stop two counties east of Liquid City. A bouquet of flowers was stuffed down his neck hole with a note attached. A gift from Don Eladio. That much was in the newspaper. Just about everyone claims they know secrets about that case. My father told me that the mayor had his fingernails ripped off. That he was forced to swallow them. One of my schoolmates growing up told me that he had nails stuck through the palms of his hands. I'm not sure if any of it is true. But what I do know is true is that the first cop on vice to respond to the scene killed himself four days later. No suicide note either. He drowned himself in the sewer. That's what people resort to in a place like this. I can tell you this much. Let go of trust. Your doctor, your local police officer, even the nice old lady at the grocery store might be on the mafia payroll. The politicians? You bet. The only thing you can trust is your own mind.
