How would you have gone about explaining that Stephano beat taeja/hero or when the games we played before hand. The point of the discussion has little to do with those 3 players because it affects ALL teams and ALL players. In professional sports, stating excuses for a loss comes across as dickish (blaming the refs, talking about nagging injuries, long road trips, etc). As cheesy as the "We did our best, but we need to try harder" line is, the point is that stating anything other than "we lost the game" makes your team and your players look worse, instead of softening a tough loss.
Scheduling and timing issues are a big deal, but it's simply not something to bring up immediately after a match. Regardless of the result, the implications will always be negative...that you lost because of unfair circumstances, or that your opponent was so bad that you still won when you weren't 100%. If it's a legitimate problem, let it stand on its own.

Wooh, yay EG! Time to actually win a team league?
|
We travel a lot, we play jetlagged, short on sleep, in the middle of the night, we win and we lose. Throughout the years we have had hundreds of matches with disadvantageous conditions. I really believe that as long as the conditions are predictable you accept them by joining the league, and shouldn't make an issue out of it when you lose.
Being tired is so common for players it should not be brought up when losing. Every team could pretty much be talking about jetlag, being tired, and scheduling issues after every match they lose. We shouldn't want that kind of scene. I have always found it extremely important that we keep those excuses from the fans who try to enjoy the matches. Kennigit's statements don't reflect how the team feels. I apologize to EG and the fans for what was said.

imo its most definitely an issue worth talking about, you shouldn't feel bad for having a staff member openly discuss it, people who are complaining about Kennigit's blog are just being silly to me. Better talking about it (and hopefully improving conditions for everyone) then keeping quite and having illegitimate results or at least not the best games played, even if that didn't happen today.
Then again, the timing could arguably be better, straight after a loss to a rival was obviously going to get people discussing it in the wrong way ;P

Though I do think it's important for people to realise, that just because Kennigit is an admin on this site, he is still allowed his own opinions, seperate to the TL team.

wow. good job by IPL for picking up Axslav. they badly needed a good caster, someone who is actually knowledgeable and doesn't just pretend to know what he is talking about.
Next point, I do think it was pretty dickish for incontrol to post in the first page with his little joke that gave away the results. Nice spoiler.
Finally, why, why a protoss against stephano when he has a much worse chance against any ANY zerg? I guess that's the decision made by the team, but as a fan, I have to question the decision. HerO has been struggling a bit against Z and stephanos build roach build is still giving him a ridiculous winrate, whereas against zerg he loses to much less accomplished players much more frequently.
Oh well, hopefully we'll see more of the liquid boys soon, and we'll see a better series against EG in the next clan war!

Congrats Stephano. Unlucky TL gg.
Still hoping to see EG and TL participate in the GSTL together!

iNcontroL added a year but didn't get wiser. Freaking knew it that Stephano was going to do well.
Stephano has the luxury to pick his tournaments and to play with a fresh mind all the time. All the talk about him wanting to go to the university instead of playing SCII is just him putting himself in a strong position to denie his team to force him in stressful situations. Which is quite smart of Stephano, because it gives him an edge in the tournaments he plays.
Grats to Sheth who won 2 games and set up the snipe of the last Korean on EG. It was well played by Team Liquid, hoping that HerO or Taeja would take Stephano is a good bet. But Stephano is actually going to be worth his money, even in the long run.

YEAH! Two in a row for EG vs Liquid!
To think that EG didn't use thorzain, and there's also huk and idra waiting to regain their momentum. If they do, no team will touch EG.
Fighting~

Wow that was pretty sick by Stephano, what a debut. But Hero held really well there at the end, every other toss would have just rolled over against the first BL/infestor army, gg wp!!!

That's a post which will gain you a lot of positive reaction.

Really enjoyed that hero vs stephano match, looked like hero had the stargates and was getting air upgrades but never got a chance to build the air units he needed.

EG FTW! Feels good to have Stephano on board, nothing can stop us now.

lol i missed that .. stephano why so gosu ..

Didn't IPL had a rule that you couldn't field the player in the same week you acquired him?
Or im thinking about other team league.

hype! hype! hype! Important CW for both teams!
