In other news, OSU comfortably defeats Miami of Ohio, an expected result but an impressive show of Meyer's new brand of offense nonetheless. Penn State fell to Ohio U with QB Matt McGloin throwing interception after interception, indicating that the program rebuilding will indeed be a long and arduous process. As for the SEC dominance, we shall see. In terms of conference strength it is difficult to argue against the Southeast, but with the new playoff system we'll be seeing a lot more inter-conference play and thus a lessening of importance of conference affiliation. In any case, boo SEC, go Big 10

Even with no chance at a bowl game we still have scUM to deal with and the dawn of the Urban Meyer era. I hope everyone with an interest watches some good football today, and to those with little or no interest, if you have some spare time, flip on a game or two and revel in the glory that is one of our worlds greatest team sports. In what way may I ask? I like to cheer for my team, but I also like good football. You better believe I'm rootin for Michigan against Bama tonight, but I don't like the odds.

(actually I'm not, the best football convo I've ever had was with this OSU alum + maybe booster? in Hong Kong when our planes got delayed for 12 hours. It was before Pryor came to OSU too, I think in 2007) I don't like Meyer though tbh, not cause he's at OSU, but I'm not a fan of SEC coaches
