EPTI normally go out to have a good time on Fridays, but I'm a bit sick at the moment, as well as kinda worn out from a rough week at my job, so I decided to just chillax at home tonight. To amuse myself I've spent the evening singling out my Top 5 solos by my favourite electic guitarist, Slash, and recording them (in a very crude and impromptu way, mind you).

I used to be the world's biggest Slash fanboy, and I basically learned playing guitar by sitting down learning Guns N' Roses songs note for note, by ear.
I've evolved a lot since then (got into jazz and classical guitar after my GN'R period), but it's definitely possible to tell that I've used a lot of his way of playing as a template for my own electric guitar style. It's pretty funny how I haven't played some of these songs in many years, and still I know them like the back of my hand. ^__^
