I don't understand what you mean by that.

I try to get license with Blizz but it's not conclusive for the moment, I absolutely don't want to sell illegal stuffs, so for the moment I have no right to sell my Fanart. But I work with companies like Fnatic and Mindfreak, I ll keep you informed when something legally Purchasable will be avalaible :-)

All your works are well illustrated and the colours are great but then you desaturate them/damage/grunge them so there's this massive dimming shade of black over the top. It starts to blend all the objects together and not make anything interesting (not subjectively, as in there is nothing that is vibrant and draws your eye)
Header text being the same colour (or lack of) as the tanks/background etc. They're great works, but some you have to look at for awhile before you can read/understand what it is. A perfect example is the "GG BM IMBA ZVZ BUFF etc." one. The immortal one would be great if you used blue for the immortal in the text (because blue and orange accentuate each other and it's an often used trick in real posters)
I'm loving the work I'm just wondering how much you've looked into colour theory. I get the whole "WW2 propaganda poster" vibe but look at a lot of them, it's not all about make the work look weathered and adding brown, they use vibrant colours and bright distinct/contrasting imagery to catch the eye. The Chinese government pretty much forced the greatest artists in the country to make propaganda posters for them and they are really beautiful paintings (albeit created under practically slave labour).
The work is sick and I don't mean to come off as negative, I just get a big kick out of discussing/analysing and breaking down work.

thanks for your time AlphaWhale. your comments are quite interesting, it's a chance for me to explain what I do by commenting your advices.
First, I'm a freelance graphic designer. I do that for living. I do logos, drawing, leaflets, websites... most of the time for local companies. I did most of my SC art at my free time, so I can't work as long as a paid job. When I do something like this, it's barely never finished as I want it was. I don't really know if it's the same for the others graphic designer but I have to re-work on my stuffs a few times to be as "perfect" as I can do. So, some of my SC art are not finished as they should be.
My dream is to work for Esport. I'm 32 and I wasn't really a geek until a good friend of mine showed me STARCRAFT 2 (well, I was kind of but not really). Since then, I find a new reason in my life to live for, a new goal to achieve, being an Esport designer. I start to have some contracts with Esport companies which is great and sincerely I feel better because of this since a long time.

Contrasts are really tricky for designer, cause it depends of the screen you have. I saw my drawings in different screens, and it doesn't look the same. And basically you have to low the contrasts, because printing those kind of pictures usually get the contrasts higher. that's why I desaturate my colors a bit more, and low the blacks.
Then, for sure I use desaturate colours but that's a choice, I don't really know if it's because I like it or because I want to do an school style. probably both I guess. I think contrasts are good in some of my drawings (buy war bounds, meltdown, we march to victory, automaton...) and not for some of them (GG MC IMBA one, god save the queen...) but I don't want to spend more time on them cause I prefer do new stuffs than rework again and again on those ones.

I know what you mean. For the "my favorite quotes in sc2" series, I wanted to melt the texts with the picture, I wanted that the text would be not easy to read, cause I think it would be too obvious to have just a quote and the thing that's belong to on the picture. I wanted people to get time to understand them. Maybe it's not a great choice but that's I tried to do :-) Concerning the GG BM... one, it's another story. I think I messed this one by using the wrong font. My first idea was to fill the workspace with letters, with no blank parts. I don't like the red background I put. The point was to have those pictures, and like a game, forcing people to spend time to find what expressions were quote, like in the "where is Charly" game. If I had reach my goal on this, the letters would be less readable :-)

You're right. I keep that in mind.

No problem, thanks again for your comments, that was constructive criticisms. please do more :-) Excuse me if I messed some translations or if I wasn't clear, I am French in the end :-D
Have a great day everybody !
