Visits to TLHQ are in store I'm sure! oh, thats supposed to be as hard as CA's. my (unsolicited) advice for bar exam is (1) get a hotel near the exam place, but not one that has the rest of the people who are taking the bar exam (maybe a few blocks down)--you want to decompress and people stress the fuck out between exams, and you dont want to commute on exam days; (2) do not go to lunch with other bar people in between exams, do not socialize with other bar people in between exam days--you will regret it because they will talk about the exams and its always depressing when they thought of something you didn't; and (3) after you are done with a test, forget everything you know about the subject (except for, of course, the multistate) and don't think about the test ever again, just focus on the next one. i assume you are doing barbri or the like. if you seriously study the subject matter, the bar is a breeze. good luck. i dont envy you the bar exam, but i do envy your post-bar trip. decided where to go?

Is it possible to see every thread that I made since joining? It should be possible since someone showed us a way to find our first post on TL. I'm sure there's an equivalent for threads but I don't know how. My question: What is with the hostility among some of the mods toward the little community that has grown around the ABL thread? It goes off topic from time to time, but I don't think it's more extreme than in other threads that have developed lives of their own like that (Nada's body, the SotG thread, KMD...). It's the TL subcommunity where I really feel at home, so I'm bothered rather more than I probably should be to see it derided like that by people I respect from the larger community. Thoughts?

You mean it goes on-topic from time to time, right? Ban discussion is heavily outweighed by random shit and the thread itself is no longer commentary about bans, but a smaller version of General forum and occasionally someone posts a ban.

Because apparantly ABL people derail not just the ABL thread... here's an example below of a person ignoring the rules set out for the thread s/he posted in.

So why are bans or warnings not handed for derailment then? This is rediculous, part of the staff is crying about derailment by a small number of posters when they have all the necessary tools to end it.

Because I was hoping it could just improve and run itself properly instead of me having to put the effort in to babysit it. If it really got bad, staff would obviously step in and moderate it heavily. I'd say 99% of the posts made in the ABL are made by posters that are well aware of rules regarding posting so most likely a few warnings or bans would take the thread almost 100% back on topic which I personally would welcome open armed.
