I won't go down that road either, but I am enjoying reading about this clash of cultures. So please, keep us posted. EDIT: In reply to Descent Given the very first reply to the blog post: "You don't mention the talent you've lost. I wonder if that equates to (probably fleeting) gain in members?" I don't think it'll go over so well with their "regulars." It seems some of them have got some lofty standards for a site that is quite literally a popularity contest. It's pretty interesting to see a small community go through so many changes a common internet community goes through over a few years. Coupled with the very intentions for joining the site, this whole ordeal is exposing the harsh reality that people are there either to promote themselves or, having failed to do so, are reveling in the comfort of other "high-brow" authors with whom they may affiliate with and feel comfortable around; an internet clique. Seeing someone say "I hate you guys! I hate this site! I'm quitting forever! I mean it!" and continue to post, attempting to rally others, is especially hilarious when the user's avatar is a grey-haired middle aged man. I much prefer my 8th post:

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=95004¤tpage=2#25 I guess this one was my first post... well at least it was on the day I registered. Apparently I handed out the (BW map making) knowledge right from the start. Not all that surprising as I had just switched from Blizzforums.com to TL, and I had been doing the same on BF...

Meh, first post post wasn't all that awesome except for the fact that deadhaji answered it. I think I hung out in TL irc about 2 years before that already and finally had to make an account for the hamachi thing. >_< But I totally found this gem in my history. TASTELESS AND MANIFESTO COMMENTATING THE SAME GAME TOGETHER. A SAVIOR GAME. Damn, I wonder if there's a VOD floating around somewhere. Nostalgia! =SSS Also the OP is pretty glorious: - During the Iris/Savior winner bracket final, Manifesto was so nervous to be a commentator. As he opened his mouth to livecast for the first time we immediately held up a sign that said "MANI I STOOD FOR YOU" and made him fuck up in the middle of his first sentence rofl. + Show Spoiler + Edit: @Hawaiian: I remember seeing that picture and thinking WOW THIS DUDE IS AWESOME. <3

It's about how maps like blistering sands should have back rocks, because a protoss being able to 'sit on one base and tech to whatever you want' was OP....

Haha- I remember that Klazart/Authonomy thing. I must have still been lurking at that time, but I believe I actually made an account over their to defend TL/ gamers in general. Good times.

I don't know if this guy was posted yet... Anyways what about Byun, he used to be a really good Z user back when I first started playing SC like... 5 years ago. I also remember the times when Op -NC was the place to be. Being all "giddy" when I was in the same channel as ChoJJa and Yellow. God was I a Starcraft douche bag.

Once you get siege mode, the cannon on the cliff is nothing. Just be sure to scout for a possible 2gate opener by the toss as that could be very dangerous without a wall. This is the first post that I see from myself... oh joy. Found in "[Q] TvP:How do I stop Cannon Rush in Colosseum?" of all things.

TvP feels very difficult to me, a protoss player. Changing from MMM with early Hellion harass to tanks and banshees requires you about 10 seconds of lifting structures (just an example). Anything I throw at you I can expect to be countered within the minute. As for the Ghost vs. Templar discussions that always come up in TvP discussions, I think mathematically they are about even, and it relies more on the player than the unit. First post, for real this time.
