Rekrul Banned

Rekrul was just Temp banned for 2 days by Plexa.

That account was created on 2002-11-05 02:46:05 and had 10915 posts.

Reason: Sadly, I never thought I would ever have to do this. Rekrul, you are a well respected member on teamliquid and we all know it. It breaks my heart to have to do this to you, but really, you should know better. As a regular user I looked up to you as somewhat of a role model of what a "good" poster should be, and even though you are no longer staff a number of newer posters see you in that light due to you icon and presence in threads.

What you did in the Boxer thread was completely unjustified. It goes against every single principle of generating discussion. If it had been one post, it would have been fine by me - seeing you have a very large amount of leniency here on TL (and for good reason) but posting 5 or 6 time like this;

Is just wrong, abusive, counter-productive and is the wrong way to go about telling someone that their ideas are fundamentally wrong (and hence generating discussion as per the intention of the post). To add insult to injury, you proceed to call me (a contributing member and a staff member) a "fucking idiot", insult me as a writer, and you tell me to go kill myself (amongst other things). Completely unacceptable.

So you begin abusing someone purely for a title rather than the merits of article? This is NOT how members of Teamliquid should be posting and it sets a VERY bad example for others to follow.

Given your contributions to Teamliquid and the Staff you are given a large amount of leniency. But there has to be a line drawn in the sand to say "hold on rekrul, posting like this simply isn't acceptable". I'm drawing the line in the sand here.

I respect you so much rekrul, for everything you've done. But this was just too far and even you need to be pulled into line.
