But did you know? That B.net and other ladders would probably not exist today if it were not for Case's Ladder? Yes, before B.net, the only legitimate ladder around was Case's Ladder. It was where guys like Agent911, Tillerman, Maven, Mogkupo, INcinerate (the entire IN Clan for that matter), MekLarian (the father of build orders and a micro genius - his sapper play was years ahead of its time) all became big names. Did you know? that team play was much more popular back then, with 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 matches occurring with about the same regularity as 1v1's. Team matches were how talent was discovered mostly because there were no replays back then. Teams like the IN Clan, the Agents of Death (@AD), Sons of Shagrat, and even the Pondering Peons (plus tons of others I've left out) fought for dominance in the team ladders just as vigorously as we did on the 1v1 ladders. Did you know? I have a printout from an old dot matrix printer of the first ever documented build orders in war2, done by MekLarian where he also divulges his secrets to sapper micro. To my knowledge there are only 2 known copies in existence, Hoping one day to be able to donate it to the eSports Hall of Fame. Makes me want to fire up war2 again and see if Kali is still alive

I mean heck, a lot of your players were playing for other teams by then including Eri. -_- On May 23 2012 14:06 UnceL wrote: Draco and Blackman, two legends and heroes of my early brood war history Draco could have made it. But it stirred up an old clantag from the Kali days, perhaps someone remembers who was on the team or what it stood for: \"/ Great entry!

The best thing was that they had to upload their replays to get ladder points, I remember watching almost all of those games.

I remember about half of what has been mentioned but almost all of the players: suffered from ladder fear before it was invented and never really played, hence i could only follow the drama at TL and such places. Mondragon was/is my favorite player, and his epic comeback in TSL 2 was the best i´ve ever experienced in BW. Great post TT1, thanks alot!
