Did you know? Me and idra used to flame each other almost everyday on the tl/gosugamers forums. Yea i bet u could have figured that one out but did you know that the first person i met in BW whos still around was idra? We met when i was 13 or 14. He tried testing for my team and i crushed him on lost temple(and this was before i went over to the dark side), it was a tvz(me T) on LT, i proxy fact'ed outside of his base and floated it inside his main and started making vultures while teching to double starport wraiths, he didnt gg which was extremely uncommon back then(i think thats why i still remember the game). Oh yea, and did you know we used to be teammates?
Did you know? MgZ and [Media] didnt like each other, wait what.. who?
Did you know? ToT and [pG] had the sickest rivalry, ever.
Do you know? Who Zia is? LOL

Did you know? Before koreans started integrating themselves within the foreign SC2 community there was V-Gundam and ogogO. Both of them were progamers and had alot of close foreign friends, gundam was close with TL and ogogO was on ToT.
Did you know? Before zergs started producing 15 drones at a time, there was Blackman[pG]. The first foreign zerg macro machine.
Did you know? V-Gundam had his own style of play which was named after him, the gundam style was a 1base marine medic tank push vs protoss and he also had his revolutionary 2factory tank/vulture style.
Did you know? Once upon a time there was an american player called Maynard who liked to transfer workers to his expo. The next time you hear a caster commenting on how many workers a player is "maynarding" to his expansion think of maynard!
Do you know who Zileas is? He was one of the best foreign players in the early days of starcraft, hes currently the design director of League of Legends.

Did you know? Liquibitions used to own. Why the fuck did TL ever stop hosting them?
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Liquibition
Did you know? Fayth used to be the best DT dropper, artosis hated DT drops, fayth is french canadian, artosis was idra's mentor, i think i just dr.phil'ed idra.
Did you know? Testie had a 104-0 PvT win streak on neo forbidden zone(was that the map?) on PGTour. Everyone was going ape shit over it.
Did you know? Testie has alot of accomplishments. (produced by Hot_Bid)
Did you know? Yea we knew.. we knew it was coming (produced by Hot_Bid)
Did you know? Jinro used to be really good in BW, he never got the credit that he deserved because he was always playing on the west server with korean players, i still remember him beating Terror[fOu] on Rush Hour, his pvz was really good on that map.
Did you know? Back in the day artosis would practice mostly with zerg players so he could beat day[9] at wcg. I used to practice with him and to this day i still remember something that he told me, it was something along these lines:"if u show these games to day9 ill kill you", he was super competitive but he was a good guy, even tho we had our moments back then his passion was always evident, o yea and sorry artosis that was when i was maphacking.
Did you know? I started maphacking so i could be as good as the players that i looked up to, yup i went about it the wrong way.
Did you know? The first time i got caught hacking was when i was in rS., LG)Cheloman caught me while we were playing a cw against them, the second time was during TSL1, TL found replays of me maphacking on the WGTour ladder under my smurf aQua66, i gave up maphacking when i realised i wanted to do more and be more within the community, i stopped maphacking 2-3 months before my first WCG event and got owned.
Do you know where the [9] from Day[9] comes from? Do you know who rS.Wisdom[9] is? Get informed!
Did you know? SLush was a super oldschool SC player, he was on the same team as Grrrrr..., look he even got owned by hasudrone.

Did you know? Op Rekrul used to be the IT spot.
Do you know what The Stove is? Get informed!

Do you know who Rekrul is? ROFL u missed out on alot of shit, browse the archives.

Did you know? When MorroW started playing BW he always uploaded replays that he won on gosugamers.net(he was REAAAAAAALLY young and new to the game), i didnt like that so we didnt get along for a long time, now i love him.
Did you know? Ret retired numerous times from BW but he always came back after a few years, it usually only took him a couple of months of practice before he was owning everyone again.
Did you know? I used to play in the Clan [HoD] weekend tournaments, every week. Anyone remember those?
Do you guys remember when JoSeZ beat BoxeR at WCG? lol
Did you know? Androide beat a korean called Silent_Control at WCG, after the tournament S.C got alot of hate mail on his fanclub page.(and some death threats if i recall, dont quote me on that one)
Did you know? Mondragon and Testie used to be unbeatable in 2v2.
Did you know? Elky used to be a boss on Neo Bifrost, he would build his rax behind his opponent's mineral line and bunker it, i think legionnaire used to cannon rush behind the min line too.
Did you know? The first time i played against iNcontroL was on LT, he was P and i was Z, he goon dropped the cliff of my expo while teching to reavers, i was losing but then he suddenly paused the game and said "i have to go play against legionnaire, gg bye". i won the game.
***Have u ever heard of Draco or Mondragon? They were two of the most talented foreign BW players. EVER. How about Elky or Grrrr...? What about [gg99]slayer, sven, pillars, ntt, saft, z7-rain, kane-the-feared, everlast, lameking, agent911, rekrul, legionnaire, assem, beast, mondragon, blackman, raszi, maynard, kaaz, arcneon, 3d.yan, a2, androide, crayon, wisdom[9], testie, froz, x'ds~kiwi, blackjack, breakdown, castro, dinot, darki, dreiven, dunaj, hovz, aerials, zelotito, moonshine, ryko, hellghost, raven, deadman, mistrzzz, ovvi, midian, suker, odin, eriador, fisheye, kolll, oldy, infernal, jf, napoleon, ptak, spawn, satanik, smuft, trek, sugosu, tomson, yosh, veg, twisted, xiaozi, yan, squall, shaman, delicato, whear, didi8, alfa, cope, gentleman, schnibl0r, ranger, anon, ovvi, strafe, sys, fenris, willet, aspeak, stinger, rifter, hexer, daaman, dolife, aqrash, cameleon, pj, lx, notforu, infinity, zileas, tsunami, korn[pg], asmody, (orky)soul, daze, ace, crystal, corbalt, pride, jester, atlas, thor? These are some of the guys that i grew up with and idolized, never forget who they are because they helped build our community.
Did you know? I became a Nazgul fanboy after i saw his bo5(i dont remember the exact number of games) against BoxeR on LT. He kept doing this awesome 1 or 2g robo into double expand b.o and kept crushing BoxeR's timing attacks, that was when BoxeR was The real Emperor. Soon afterwards BoxeR was asked in an interview which player he feared the most, he said Nazgul.
Did you know? Nazgul came out of retirement and played in a tournament called sandlot, he almost beat In_Dove(1-2, he won a game on Neo Forte) at a time when foreigners couldn't even dream of touching korean players.
Did you know? The most important person in the history of our community is Nazgul, hes the only true superstar within our community and unfortunately he doesn't get the homage and respect that he truly deserves. Without Nazgul there would be no TL, no TL means no foreign BW community, no foreign BW community means no SC2 foreign community, no SC2 foreign community means tournaments wouldn't get the viewership that they're currently getting, no viewership means no sponsors, no sponsors means no money, no money means no no growth, no growth means the stagnation of esports. The next time u see Nazgul pls bow down to him. (he's obviously had some help along the way but you get the point)
** Do you know ** why i love this community? Because even when the oldschoolers move on with their lives they always remember where they came from. Do you know who IN^LameKing is? He's someone who schooled me on the true origins of our game. Were delving into some extreme oldschool now. LameKing brought me up to speed on how the early day SC players are doing now, heres what he had to say:
"Ok after a brief bout of nostalgia I realized my name wasn't on the list and my vanity kicked in. No mention of IN clan? I was IN^LameKing and Pillars win over me in PGL Season 4 was what shot him into stardom! I was even more vain back then and I went random (I was the #1 seed, how could I lose!) and let Pillars pick the map. Jacob's ladder him toss me zerg gg! That was back when we only did best of 1's and had to take a screenshot every 5 minutes to prove we weren't maphacking! Pillars was one of the first to play just 1 race and we all thought this was the most scandalous of ideas!
I also hosted with Agent911 what I believe was the first community site, Icantwin.com. Agent911 was definitely the Kiwikaki of old - he thought up the most bizarre strats. Also the first form of a "cast" came from this site - Agent911 did a battle report that consisted of screenshots and text commentary of a game I played against Jester.
All of us old schoolers hung out on a chat application named Kali, which predated B.net. Kali enabled us to simulate a IPX network over a TCP/IP network (Internet) between users so we could multiplay. Yes, you heard right, there was no b.net only LAN and we had to invent technology to play over the internet with it. Amazing how now everyone is begging for LAN back .
Pillars and I still stay in touch. Elky has gone on to superstardom in the poker world (I am a pro as well but no where near his celebrity status). Zileas is indeed a boss and was the subject of my satire at Icantwin.com quite regularly. LoL essentially is his baby. FWIW Zileas basically single handedly invented micro with his reaver drops. We thought this was BS that someone didn't just A-move. But by far the guy who did the best for himself out of the entire ex-bw crowd was Korn. He started pokerstrategy.com and is worth more then the rest of us combined I think. Assuming you value success monetarily of course. Pillars would disagree . Oh, and Maynard is doing well. I talk to him on skype now and then. Would you believe we all SWORE he hacked because of his transfers. No one knew how he suddenly went from 3 rax marines to supporting 6 instantly for the longest time and we'd swear he had some sort of hack. He's now a lawyer. I crack up every time someone says his name in a cast. There was also an amazing guy named TillerMaN who was definitely the precursor to MC - he could pull off bad manner like nobody's business. Other greats : INcinerate, INMogkupo (hell anyone from IN), INMoJo, Gadianton, IN-Bob, INPython, Atlas, Jester, Thor, Maven (sorry!!), Dimmack, 88fingers and dozens more.
Ok that's my rant! Great post TT1. Going back to being a 31 year old man now.
