It's funny because even though I would say I was always more invested in the Korean scene, reading all the names of foreigners and knowing who 90% of them are makes me really nostalgic. pG + ToT rivalries, Jinro = FrozenArbiter, nation wars, russian terrans, a shit ton of talented germans like Gentleman, Schnibl0r, fisheye, breakdown, asmodey, the overwhelming talent of froz, meeting assem irl at a lan, elky's crazy hair, rekrul as a progamer, tsunami's sc guides. I miss simpler times

as for some more about Kali, i remember using it for C&C RA and then for SC. there was a guy named general~khalsa that got grr and pillars (and everlast? maybe some others?) to go over to KR and that was near the last time the foreigners had an edge.

I especially appreciate some of these talents because back then it also took quite some hanging around in channels, scavenging forums and being on irc constantly to keep up with the developments of the game. Battlereports FTW

someone should interview all the early guys of sc (even before bw) and publish tons of good old memories like that! (either online, in a documentary or as a book).

In one of them he did a brilliant two fact startegy by proxying one of them. Nazgul was fighting what he thought was a FD and found himself with 6 speed vultures coming out of the blue in his base, having mined the entire path from his army to his nat. The other one was a perfect marines and medic timing push. Nazgul played great in this serie, but was doing the same robo opening every time. Boxer extraordinary ability to adapt was demonstrated int his game: Nazgul got hit by a contrrol group of stimmed marines and medic just before he could complete his reaver. Good times.
