As a Zerg player, I'm very happy with the new Overlord change. Speedier scouting in all match ups, and it just feels so good. The Queen buff is probably really good, but I'm only a Platinum player and can't really tell how it benefits me outside of early defense, and it feels like everyone is so passive and defensive themselves that it doesn't come into play.
Toss buffs? Meh, let them have their observers. Won't stop me from doing same ole' same ole'.

Overlord speed is so so so nice.
I think the obs speed is really there for pvp so it feels less gambled. Or to make less gambled decisions.
I dunno as im z as well haha

Ive definitely gotten tired of watching TvZ, as Artosis said, he can cast a TvZ without even looking at the screen, so changing up that matchup will hopefully explore possibilities of other mech openings or something more interesting. Who knows.
As a protoss, the "Immortal vs observer" choice is now a much easier one. Beforehand, It was difficult to figre that out as it could really change the way a timing worked out, or could cause you to miss a window entirely. Now the choice is clear almost always. Observer first. It also makes banshees and DTs a bit less effectice, something I always like to see.
Ovie speed is super OP. 0.586 is simply ridiculous and breaks every single matchup in every single way. Especially PvP. I can no longer effectively transition into motherfucking carriers at all. tl;dr, game is broken due to ovies. [read: cool, now IdrA can stop bitching and zergs can kinda sorta scout]

Long-range queens make you safer vs. banelings in the early game; I am for this in my own units, but when my opponents have it, it's OP.

Zerg should be able to hatch factories for scouts. rofl.

Lings should be able to throw each other in the air. Or connect together like voltron to make a mega ling. Not a shitty ultra.

I was like omg they're called The Killer Pikachu's. My friend would have gone into team 4 if she decided to play. I think they were the team that was missing a bronze. Are there casted VODS for this? You should still tell her to play. I think we're losing both bronze players and we're friendly chaps... I'll try but I think it's more an issue of sadness when you lose a game and let your team down that's intimidating; not the level of friendliness. Actually, that's quite interesting. If you guys lose, do you feel like you let your team down? I personally think I would be so devastated afterwards...Either way i'll keep nagging and say it's just for fun. :D I've won 3/4, but my loss [to Hazardous....we will meet again ] definitely made me tilt afterwards. But I'm a super competitive person in general, so any loss is unacceptable for me. The really important thing to remember is (and I remind myself of this everytime I lose on ladder) is that it's just a video game. None of us are anywhere near the level needed to turn this into a job, so it's really for fun. Plus the CTL has created a good sense of community for me. I would never chat on Bnet except with my 3 friends that play but those days are gone. It's also a good motivator to get on and improve your play.
Btw, I really believe you should be cheering for Team Kessel, as we made the Kessel run in 12 parsecs. Just saying

BM vs Evolution and Kessel vs PAYBACK replays are uploaded on the bracket. I'm holding on to TKP vs Galaxy's replays since they will replay the bronze match.

NERDRAGE!
a parsec is a measurement of distance, not speed! it's not impressive to make the kessel run in 12 parsec... the kessel run is twelve parsecs long! its like saying i made it from detroit to chicago in 286 miles.
RAAAAAGE!
lol

I propose we add the following prizes to the already quantious prize pool of the CTL:
- Sickest Nerd Baller (a.k.a. Nerf-that-Motha-Foca award): awarded to the player with the most singullar kills in the league - King of Silver: awarded to the silver player with the SECOND most wins =P - Cloaked ghost award: awarded to the player with the highest score in the following equation: X=kills in the league/post in this thread. We can do the inverse and award the Moon's baneling award to the guy with the lowest score. - TLO-on-dope award: awarded to the most bizarre/creative game of the season - Papa Smurf award: to the player who shows the biggest progress in the ladder during the season - Fair Play award: to the most mannered team! Damn, B.Morons is running with an advantage in this one. We are so mannered, we won't even risk offending the opposing team by winning =)
any suggestions...?

Technically, you can also make the same trip in a longer distance of measure. For example, I might take several detours or inefficient routes and make the trip from Detroit to Chicago in 400 miles. Therefore you can use a distance of measurement to show bad ass-ery (especially in space) in the case there are hazardous obstacles (such as asteroid belts, comets, supernovas, etc.) to show that you are obviously awesomely skilled to get there in such a short distance and can navigate through aforementioned hazards.
EDIT: I did some researchery, and the Kessel Run is normally 18 Parsecs. So that means he did in fact take a dangerous route to complete it in 11.5 parsecs.

so you're saying han was bragging about taking a longer route on the kessel run? that's like kissing your sister.
|
We're still missing lineups from Evolution and King's Men, and we're missing match reports from Match 3. C'mon guys T_T
Also, Bennett has changed his name to Milodon, OP has been updated with his new info.

Heyo, Admins:
I haven't heard from K2, but I did get an email from Benevolent Morons. Is K2 still out of router? What's going on? Haven't heard from anyone on the team, nor have I seen any posts that seemed relevant to our current team structure. Please fill me in.
@ Evolution memebers: If you have not submitted your match reports to choboteamleague@gmail.com, or you don't know how or don't want to, send me a PM and I'll provide an email addy where you can send them to me and I will forward them on. I also only know our member's SC2 IDs, not TL IDs, and I'm not in SC2 at the same times that most of you are. If I have to run the team for any reason, I need your TL IDs so I can PM you and submit a lineup to the admins.
Also, my availability is about to get slashed. Job interview went well today, ergo more money in my pocket and less time to play. Dammit.
@Benevolent Morons: GM from JabbeRWocK. Bonus points. I am going to re-read email I got from you the other day, will see what issues I can address.

Big booty, big booty! Rooty tooty fresh'n'fruity! Wait . . . this isn't an IHOP commercial. Oh, well. Glad to hear you're back in action.
In other news, Gigabyte finally got back with me on my RMA for my mobo. Sending it out tomorrow (UPS is a long ways from my house), should be back in glorious HD in a couple weeks.
