and with everyone not rereading part 1 we start our adventure where we left off with part 2.
The adventure starts with Mr con stupidly running around a castle ignoring all the guards as best he can while deciding that the princess is very likely to be up a massive tower with 200 steps (I am 99% sure I walk past a stiletto on the way but I don't think you can pick it up on first visit). After failing at the scene break twice because I wasn't paying attention Mr Con finally reach the top of the tower...
It really seems unlikely that the princess would be up here...
Luckily she was at the top of the tower... another tower on the other side of the castle however a cutscene starts preventing me wasting more time chasing after her.
Why do they always have to jump
Once Mr con had been humiliated the game returns back to Seeker who is brutally attacked by the princess trying to make a mad dash for it. The princess is stopped by ruby a member of Tantalus whose only purpose in the game seems to be insulting what ever character your playing as and to introduce a side quest some time in disc 3. After more dialogue ruby lets the princess escape ( Seriously you could be blocking the stairs and ruby will still screw up). After finding the princess again she reveals her name which is unimportant because Ill be changing it soon anyhow and really she has like 4 names throughout the game.
Some dialogue about how the princess wants to be kidnapped even though she has no idea what is going on yet happens and Seeker and Tantalus end up fighting Mr con. Cinna stole some thing unimportant before Seeker one shots Mr Con with an OP critical (Every play through I see around 2 critical hits why did it have to appear here >.<).
The heroes try to escape by taking part in the play however through a series of events Drazerk ends up joining the group by setting fire to the princess like a boss forcing another Mr con fight which he loses almost instantly because the Mage masher + moonstone combo is really OP at this stage of the game. The queen intervenes by firing a bomb at the group who decide that killing themselves would skip a lot of dialogue and make the fight go quicker...
Oh god we're all going to die!
MR con finally turns around puzzled why the heroes are killing themselves causing the bomb to explode killing everyone. Game over. Rather short game...

What do you mean only the cat died!?
Apparently I wasn't looking and it isn't game over and the ship has crashed in some evil forest or woods or something ( I never bother to learn the name of this place ) and the group has separated. The hero Drazerk is with the princess. Seeker is dead on a hill and no body cares about Mr con at this stage of the game.
A few 10 second cut scenes Seeker wakes up and gets to go save Drazerk and the princess from a terrifying monster because he thinks he is heroic. The woods however is the first place random encounters happen and Seeker learns quickly he can actually level up. Unfortunately I only kill the one enemy so Seeker stays at level 2 like a good protagonist who doesn't want to grind XP or engage in random battles until quina / freya are in the party.
The princess gets kidnapped (again) by a massive cage monster boss which Mr Con and Seeker fight. This introduces the trance mechanic which is totally uncontrollable and will appear at the worst possible times during the game causing rage and madness. For this fight if you use tidal flame it is an instant game over because apparently 1 shotting the princess is bad so Seeker is stuck using free energy which is basically a normal attack with fancy animations allowing the monster to escape with the princess.
What could possibly go wrong
Mr con kill steals Seeker causing Drazerk to get kidnapped by another cage monster. This time however there is no trance that could possibly cause a game over and Drazerk is casting fire constantly which apparently is more effective than both Mr con and Seeker's attacks leading to a quick battle. The monster decides to knock out Mr con and Drazerk sending Seeker back to square one with two knocked out companions.
Some medicine is given to both Drazerk and Mrcon (Who is locked in a room with a chest I forget to pick up) and Seeker ends up leaving Tantalus forcing another Baku boss fight where Seeker almost dies in because he was too busy trying to steal a sword for Mr con.
Leaving Tantalus gives Seeker an excuse to round up the LR crew going on a magical adventure across the
I have trained con well
Running through the woods as fast as possible only getting one random encounter the group encounter a massive plant thing which dies in three hits because Mr con and Drazerk have invented some magical fire sword powers which deals a stupid amount of damage to the plant allowing me to ignore the fact everyone appears to have gone blind.
Blank also teams up with the group to kill the creature with his smug non blind last minute appearing hit while Seeker QQs about there being nothing important to steal from it (unless you really want eye drops).
Wait that was a boss?
It turns out if there is special music its a boss fight (Which I will argue about later at some point when it comes to the flaming hair assassin in disc 2) After killing the boss the team run away from some plant things while the princess is about as useful as princess Zelda in wind waker (technically this is the third time she is kidnapped). After a single battle the escape from evil woods cut scene appears.
The group wait at camp for princess I can't do anything useful all game long to wake up and get better before embarking onto the world map for the first time with possibly the best overview theme of any FF game.
unfortunately you get no monsters while the Mist continent text is up so the music only lasted for five seconds before going into the ice caverns where Drazerk explains some of his 6 month old past before entering and the princess getting distracted by shiny objects.
Ooooh pretty
The party encounters zero random encounters through out the ice cavern and end up in a cavern with a frozen moogle inside. Seeker assumes leader of the party and tells Drazerk to free the moogle from ice causing the moogle to attack Drazerk again before allowing a save.
Why are moogles so mean to me?
Running away from the violent moogle the party all fall into a coma except for Seeker who decides instead of waking up the rest of the party which would be the sensible to fight the boss on his own causing many people who play the game to curse loudly and insult Seeker.
Anyway... the three black waltzs are creations of Zorn and thorn the court jesters from earlier. The first fight involves a huge walrus summon that basically one shots you after it drops below 50% hp to counter this seeker just had to steal while trying to enter the uncontrollable trance where he used tidal wave and a physical attack to kill the boss ( It took two turns to win the battle but around 14 to charge the trance bar up T_T ).
Dammit I stole too successfully now what am I supposed to do while waiting for trance!
Following the first walrus's death the entire party wake up to almost die to a random flan encounter (Damn back attacks) leaving only Mr con as a survivor at 20 hp who quickly ran to Dali while a totally dead princess who I can't use in random encounters but is totally fine in this cut scene decided her name should be Zhurai. Mr con basically gets really unlucky and has to fight three random encounters on the way to Dali alone before the game can be saved ending this part so the heroes can recover.
