Actually quite amazed how abilities which are really stupid and annoying in LoL work out perfectly fine in Dota.

He's no carry, but as nukers go, he's the one who maintains relevance in the late game. That being said, he lacks any sort of utility and is a notoriously good KSing hero-- but his magic damage output is large and scales, making him unique. Also, I'm suddenly reminded of "stay near the tower // I pull them fukers in" for those who get the reference.

Well, there's a few other exceptions, like Necrolyte ult and aura or OD's ulti, even if he doesn't really play in the same function, but a little bit of scaling is necessary for a hero with almost no utility. Like you said, most casters are still usefull lategame because of stuns/silences/disables in general, while zeus only has damage, so while they don't necessairly scale you could say they also mantain relevance, maybe more than zeus, because a hero 2-3 seconds outside the fight can be more important than a little bit of extra damage. I would also say that a Leshrac can still dish relevant damage for quite some time, a really tanky Krob can still be annoying as well and a Lina will still help burst down a hero in no time. I always felt he is one of the least relevant ones lategame to be honest.
