Ron Paul is the only viable candidate. So no, I won't be voting.

So you know every single 3rd party candidate and know that none of them are any good? That must have taken a lot of time to research

Unfortunate that our leader doesn't actually matter even if one of these two were good options they won't be the reason for anything that happens. Congress if it choose to could make the smart decisions, but when you get that many people together it is easy to find a weak link that can be corrupted.

i just wonder when are we going to be allowed to criticize Obama on his achievements/lack thereof, or when he will begin to take responsibility for himself, if ever. i remember way back when Obama was still President-elect. he did an interview for Time (i think) where he said (basically):
"if things haven't improved by 2010 then i should be judged on that."
flash forward to 2012 and Obama still blames Bush for everything. it's like his motto is "the buck stops at Bush!" I mean, let's say Barack gets reelected, what then? will we be here in 2016 still hearing about Bush and not enough time and it's still not his responsibility? besides, doesn't that kind of make Obama look like a weakling? either he's responsible for the state of the country and the economy, in which case he's doing a terrible job; or he isn't responsible and then what the hell has he been doing for the last 3 years and why should he get 4 more? isn't "i did nothing and accomplished nothing because my predecessor was bad" a sign of a weak and terrible President?
his biggest achievements so far have been a controversial health-care bill that will probably end up being declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, an unpopular stimulus that didn't work how it was sold, and he gave an order to kill Osama using information gained from tactics and interrogations that were put in place by Bush.
his failure's are too many to even bother listing, but just to name a few:
BP oil spill and his reaction to it Ft. Hood and his reaction to it Fast and Furious (gunrunning to terrorists) and his reaction to it Solyndra Libya and his reaction to it Iran and his reaction to it and countless other gaffes, scandals, controversies and missteps.
i just don't see how this guy thinks we can handle another 4 years of this....

Ok, I know next to nothing about US politics, but like hell the military tactics used to hunt down Osama had anything to do with Bush. That's moronic. The tactics might have been used or started during Bush's time, but Bush had neither the time nor the military smarts to come up with military tactics to find Osama.

I don't recall the President being in control of how BP runs their business. I recall Obama visiting and consoling the families of the victims of the Ft Hood tragedy. Fast and Furious is on the DOJ. Solyndra means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of this nation. I felt Libya went pretty well. NATO did the work as we supported what the people of Libya wanted. Iran? Did you want a war of some sort?
With all the bullshit he's put up with and many of the things he has accomplished so far, he deserves another 4 years. I don't see any other viable candidate being able to top him.

I feel that if you make the claim that torture lead to the assassination of Osama bin Ladin, you need to back that up with a source. That's a pretty big claim.
And as if that would change the issue that torture is wrong. But anyways....
Oh yeah, and not an opEd or anything stupid like that. A legit source, please.

Given you live in the US, I'm pretty sure you should be able to answer that question for yourself. It isn't my job to inform you of your leadership and their accomplishments and/or failures. A simple research on legislation that has passed that probably benefits you in multiple ways is a simple way to start.
You're welcome to point out all his failures like the last guy, but his list of 'failures' was rather silly.

This argument will probably go nowhere because the intelligence used to find Osama will be classified for another 20 years. There's probably a kernel of truth on both ends but it's a moot point discussing it now until the primary sources are declassified.

If you knew how the government works, you wouldn't forget the part where the President signs the bill. Let us also not forget how he calls upon congress to handle various issues within the nation. You can say the President doesn't have an effect on legislation, but I completely denounce those allegations given Presidential influence HAS helped in passing key legislation he has wanted, namely the health care reform that was passed.
Top three things that were important to me: DOMA not being defended in court. Health Care Reform Student Loan Reform
Those are three things that directly affect me and I'm answering your question on a personal level, not on the top things I feel he has done to benefit the nation overall. These three things show he gives a damn about Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. They all pertain to that core belief.

his biggest achievements so far have been a controversial health-care bill that will probably end up being declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, an unpopular stimulus that didn't work how it was sold, and he gave an order to kill Osama using information gained from tactics and interrogations that were put in place by Bush.
his failure's are too many to even bother listing, but just to name a few:
BP oil spill and his reaction to it Ft. Hood and his reaction to it Fast and Furious (gunrunning to terrorists) and his reaction to it Solyndra Libya and his reaction to it Iran and his reaction to it and countless other gaffes, scandals, controversies and missteps.
i just don't see how this guy thinks we can handle another 4 years of this.... He's talking about the reaction to the oil spill, not his interactions towards BP prior to it. I agree his points are a bit undescriptive but if you want to talk about what he's accomplished/bullshit he's faced, you should probaboly actually you know, mention some examples. Please, inform me of what you think he should do in reaction to the oil spill. BP is taking a huge hit to pay and clean it up. Even then, that wasn't because HE decided to do anything, that was from an entirely separate entity. part of the problem with his reaction was the refusal to act concerned with the spill. now, it was falsely reported that he hadn't gone down to the gulf for over a month. he actually did go down there a week or two after the spill, but the image that he gave off was one of not being concerned about it at all. also, his moratorium on the drilling in the gulf was a terrible decision. those are my main two problems with the way he handled it.

I want to see where they obtained all the "all time high" stats. I don't think our the Nation's fuel production is at an 8 year high, I think we've been running at maximum capacity for quite a while, and the reason our gas prices are so high is because our fuel infrastructure can't handle the volume.
Though, I don't know much about these kinds of things. Those are just tid bits of misinformation that mislead large amounts of people and I find it appalling that they do that.

Either way, the moratorium was lifted after new rules were instated to hope to prevent this kind of issue from happening ever again. It affected the economy of the area so drastically that a drastic action needed to be taken.
