Older Polls (After Romney won nomination)
+ Show Spoiler +
Now that the Republican nominations are over, I figured it'd be a good opportunity to begin a new thread surrounding the elections and discussing the policy differences between the Democrats and the Republicans. I have created the following polls, and only have one request - that only eligible voters (US citizens over the age of whatever the voting age is) should vote in the poll.

Poll: If a US citizen: Will you vote?

If you're planning to vote, who will you support? This way we at least have some idea of what kind of election results to expect (at least for the 20s computer gaming demographic):

Poll: Who will you vote for?

Barack Obama (1160)

61%

Mitt Romney (475)

25%

Other (257)

Mitt Romney (283)

17%

1681 total votes

And here's one for everyone who's following along from abroad:

Poll: For non-US Citizens: Who do you hope wins?

Go Obama.

You could remove all those points and simply say, wich face do you like more ?
I doubt either of these two will do even 1/4 of what they promise.

The question isn't "Who do you want to vote for?" so your option wouldn't make any sense. If you suggested, "Won't vote for either" then you would have a point.

Go Obama.

Actually if someone asked me "who will you vote for, Obama or Romney?" "I Don't want to vote for either" would be a completely fine answer to that question.

No way Obama doesn't get reelected. If the GOP had a decent candidate it would be a close race, but Romney is so out of touch and to win the Republican primary he had to abandon all of his moderate policies in favor of more extreme views. Hell my dad, who I don't think has ever voted Democrat would vote for Obama if the election were today.

Simply put Obama hasn't screwed up all that much, killing Osama Bin Laden was a nice boost for him as well. I was not 18 prior to the last election, but I probably would have voted McCain if there was some way to verify that he would survive his entire term(God damn Palin). I will be voting for Obama this year though

I like a lot of Ron Paul ideas, but his idea of destroying the banking system is way too risky.

I don't like any of the candidates, especially Ron Paul (he's fucking insane), but I have to vote for the best of the worst, Obama.

I think Romney will win but I think it's pretty irrelevant who wins. Their records are pretty similar so the edge goes to the white guy.

Scumbag europeans will ruin this poll (^_^) Really to us (at least in Denmark) Obama is somewhat a right-wing politician and Romney is just off the charts right winged. I think if a vote between these two happened in Scandinavia Obama would have 80%+ of the votes.
