obama doesn't get anything done because of stubborn republicans in the congress.. whereas I feel like the democrats in congress might be a bit more lenient if romney were elected comparably. Hence more stuff actually passing, more actual change / progress. i hate republicans, but the amount of money obama has funded to stupid shit is mind blowing =/ On April 19 2012 19:04 bokeevboke wrote: I don't like Romney, no offense, but he looks weak and likely to be manipulated by corporate/money dudes. Vote for Obama, he is a peace guy. Atleast he won't do anything stupid to the world. i've known some mormons, and for as crazy as they may seem I would trust one to not be corrupted by corporates etc over most other politicians. don't get me wrong I hate religious people, but it's moreso the mormon culture that kind of gives them a trustworthy reputation.

Oh yeah, we also have the sanctions against Iran which not only harms the Iranian people, but also Greece and Sri Lanka. And do not get me started with Israel... The thing behind increasing troops and funding to Afghanistan was to create a "surge" in order to win it fast and decisively (read destroy the talibans etc.). Unfortunately this didn't work out and they are bleeding now. But you should understand that this wasn't warmongering. This was seen, for a long time, as the most viable strategy (aside of simply giving up Afghanistan). So.. No sanctions? Most sanctions are mainly aimed at the elites and the regime itself btw. (read on what sanction there are). The point of sanctions is to force Iran to negotiate, the alternative would be to just let them get the bomb or to execute a preventive air strike, what would you prefer?... And it harms greece insofar as they are dependent on Iranian oil supply and iran bitches, bad energy strategy by greece, not Obamas mistake... And Israel... well, a stubborn but strategically important ally can indeed be hard to handle. But again, lets think about alternatives before criticizing the whole foreign policy on that matter...

I never understood Ron Paul and why everyone seems to like him, yes he is against the war on drugs and he voted against the war in Iraq, but many of his ideas are actually quite dangerous. Barack obama: promise change, do nothing and get reelected because republicans have all turned crazy. You need a third party btw Hold on there buddy, you're posting in a thread about american politics. Anyway, he has actually done quite a lot, but due to the congress being republican it's hard for him to make any major changes.

Presidential elections are the most important thing, because the Supreme Court has basically declared itself the end-all-be-all alpha-omega of all government matters. And the Presidents appoint the Judges. Look at how split (5-4) our Supreme Court is. It's a partisan split, and it's delicate. So if you want Scalia and the like making decisions where a few privileged people are awarded double citizenship and unlimited monetary-influence on government (provided they're the head of a corporation), vote Romney. If you want sanity, vote Obama.
