From the looks of how server load is going atm I can get a few more people in here for some Tekkit fun. Feel free to PM/post here for whitelisting, 100+ solid (yes, I'll click through a few) posts or someone who is already in who vouches for you please (yay, you can bring your friends! <3). Rules are still the same: - Don't be a dick. - Buildings have to make some kind of sense (no dirt oilrigs, no quarries on top of a mountain) - Buildings have to have some kind of effort put into them (no 64x64 cobble squares) - Respect the nature of this awesome seed! :3 (don't ruin stuff just because you can without purpose) <3 ...everyone who is cool with the above is welcome to join. Rest of the info: Server Adress: 94.23.6.16:25576 Dynmap: http://94.23.6.16:17777/ Tekkit launcher: http://www.technicpack.net/tekkit/ PS: You can join the server without adding us if you want to just take a look at what people built before, you just can't build/destroy blocks. =P PPS: Short report from the first official nuke with the goal of global world domination. You can take some (please leave a stack for the farm to work) saplings from my rubber tree farm (inside the machine in the middle of the farm on the hill), at around 0,70,770. I'll take a walk around the map and plant some here and there this week. I'm working on converting the stuff from my farms into IC power, through the use of biogas engines and peat-fireed engines. Pretty cool, hook them up directly to a LV/MV/HV generator, without the use a conductive pipes or putting engines on engines, for maximum power. And of course the generator to a storage device like a batbox or better yet a MFS :D A full stack of peat burns for 4h+, and generates 1 MJ/t which is about 2-3EU/t when converted properly. Actually, I wonder if i can burn peat in an actual IC generator...

While I do understand that this kind of sucks for people who tried to help out Serejai, as it stands right now his server is down and there is no ETA when it will be online again (read some pages back for posts from him about this). Since I haven't got much to do with him except for having enjoyed playing on his server myself - sorry, no special bonus for people who helped him out. I guess if people think it makes more sense we could start a Tekkit thread and post there for this stuff, I'm just hesitating to do so because without people throwing in some bucks for enjoying their time I'm not gonna invest a whole lot of money into purchasing a large server; - advertising this on a larger scale is just no option when it's laggy with more than 6-7+ people online and all their machines running. Besides that so far it's pretty much the same part of the community which was playing almost daily on Serejais server chilling with Tekkit on mine now, so, welp. Oh well, welcome and enjoy. =) @the others: Dispite the OP not being updated, check the first paragraph of this post as to whats going on with the vanilla server.

WELL, LOOKS LIKE I MIGHT BE INTERESTED Check the dynmap above, the quarries are kinda obvious to spot. =D If someone has a cool idea for a rule as to what to do with done quarries which I should enforce, feel free to shout btw. "Cover them up afterwards" would just turn grey/blue squares into [insert random color here] squares so that isn't really an option, lol. Do quarry owners have some ideas if I'd just say "IF YOU QUARRY MAKE EM PRETTY AFTERWARDS K THX"? =D

As I've stated before, I've wanted to make something similar to Blackreach from Skyrim & a giant bridge that looks like the one Gandalf fell from. So, these giant holes really speed things up for me! I'm looking for 2 giant holes that connected to each other or are very close (so that it's easy to tear apart the wall).

You should experiment some with placing 1 or several nukes far underground, the result could be beautiful and exactly what you need. As to the quarries, I was thinking of starting off with 1 quarry, use that space to set up my new base (instead of digging in the earth all i need to do is add floors/walls now). And then start underground, around level 20-32 with adjacent quarries. This way the dynmap isn't ruined, my quarries, or the holes they leave behind, are connected for future use, and the good stuff (gold/diamond) only starts at those levels. Downside might be some adventurous cave explorer who falls down to bedrock level if he isn't careful. =P

-ChopTree is being a huge nuisance in the ass. It stops working everytime the server restarts, it starts working when I reload JUST this plugin. The ids for chainsaw/gem/bronze axe aren't recognized. Really no clue where the issue lies exactly, not to mention I didn't get a proper answer on the tekkit forums. For now, just consider it non-existant. -Nether or rather the nether portals are being a bitch. Here is how it works atm: Everyone can build a portal but they all lead to vains portal in the nether. If you build a portal in the nether that reflects your current position in the normal world it will lead back to your portal. This one is my bad, I had adjusted the scaling properly, but I didn't install the plugin yet which is actually needed to activate that value. badevo, bad! ... Gonna deal with this today. -HawkEye or rather Tekkit fix for block_place events. I finally found out where to apply it, will either be something no regular notices or which will buttrape the server entirely. Backups have been made, gonna deal with that as well today. -Rubber Trees have been dealt with, should find enough of them now. Big bonus credits, as usual, go to Aixler for either reminding me of some things, testing them and in general being a pain in my lazy ass. <3 ... Feel free to give me a shout if anything else stands out. PS: Fun sidefact I found during mah random forum quests, have you ever wondered how much material you need for one (yes, one) HV Solar Panel? + Show Spoiler + Diamond - 1 Wood Planks - 256 Glass - 1536 Coal Dust - 1536 Tin Bar - 2048 Redstone - 2058 Copper Bar - 2061 Rubber - 3738 Cobblestone - 4096 Refined Iron - 4681

For anyone who wants to play and needs some starting minerals, etc. There was my base with some rubber trees next to it, I might join again in 3/4 weeks or something...
