I've only ever seen wrestling once, it was a local event in san franciso and it was great fun. It was straight up theater, like going to the improv show of a group in your city - nobody goes into one of those expecting people to be playing out their real life dramas on stage, same with the wrestling. Exactly like a play or an opera but with fighting conveying the conflict and humor instead of dialogue or singing.

Its WWE isnt it? im pretty sure its fake, although that looks like a dang good cover up.....

It depends what people mean by real or fake.. it's definitely scripted yeah, like a movie.. with stuntmen.. who can get hurt from time to time. I'm pretty sure Lesnar didn't intentionally mean to split his mouth open, but he just got done with MMA right? And he's been away from pro wrestling for what, like 8 years? I'm sure he's not the softest of workers when he's trying to make things look as real as possible.
Did Cena really get smacked in the mouth? I guess. And was the blood real? Yeah probably. The pulling apart and the rest is just scripted and part of an angle. Stuff like this has always happened in pro wrestling, it doesn't mean the guys legit hate each other but there have definitely been cases well documented where they do.

It has the WWE tag, therefore it is 100% fake no exceptions.
|
ofc fake, bcuz all the publicity he gets when he comes in and all that, and you can see the first hit when brock takes him to the ground hit the head, but it was a misstake, you can see it cuz he clearly after that only hit the floor, probably one of his "instincts" of martial arts. So the blood is prolly real, but it was a mistake, and it did make some ppl to believe it being true. So in the end the mistake pays off.

Only thing i want to add is that I really think the blood looks fake also, the color and the way its stained around the teeths doesnt look naturall. And you can see when brock getts on top at the start, had it been "real" he would easily have hitt the face/head, but he does some bad acting(lol) and hits around everywhere
PS: I am entertained by wrestling, even tho I know its all acting =)

It's wwe, so ofc it's fake, are you retarded or something? If you have ever watched wrestling before, you would know that they cut themselves with hidden razors to produce blood, and make it seem more real. So obv it's fake, wrestling is ALWAYS fake, wrestling has always been fake and it always will. It is purely for entertainment purposes, it always will, and they dont even try to hide the fact that it's fake.
Seriously, it buckles my mind, that their's actually still people in this world, who can ever think that wrestling is ever real. I mean all the so called "injuries" are 90% just something they made up to make it more dramatic, and they're just acting like they're injured, when they're not. It's all just a show, and nothing else. And I can't really believe that I actually had to explain this in this day and age, seriously it's wwe, it's fake - Why the hell would you ever think that it's real, because Brock used to be an ufc fighter, or what? Nooffense you're pretty stupid for believing that this is real

It's minor, but it's something.
If people don't watch wrestling they shouldn't be posting in this thread because they just make themselves look stupid. I mean...

Fake in the sense of it wasn't "a brawl" was pre empted play, if you watch the start of the "brawl" closely you will see Brock clearly punching the floor. However, this time i think he might of got "hit" or "knocked" and he might of just knocked a toothh out or cut his lip. I mean they are physically rolling around and was about 20 big men grabbing him all over. To lose a tooth or to cut a lip only takes a little elbow/hand/fist to hit you and you can make a cut. It isn't much blood though and normally when you cut that sort of area its quite a bit that comes out.
I go with my gut feeling in that whilst they were rolling on the floor and being broken up that Cena took a fist/hand/elbow to his mouth and cut him. Nothing major though

Y'all need to watch an old documentery called "Beyond the Mat". It's on Netflix I think.

Not all the injuries are fake. Mick Foley really did get hit in the head with a chair over and over again. And he almost died for it.
You make unsubstantiated claims about something you know nothing about, and act condescending to boot. Please never talk about anything again until you've done your research.

You're paying for actors. That style of Wrestling isn't functional in any regard other then it looks good for people watching. Obviously 90% of all confrontations and events are planned and scripted just like any talk show. The highlight moves in a match are planned, but improv between is expected. Show Business
They both are celebrities that earn money being icons. They cant be giving each other broken shoulders or spinal issues every other match. It would lose the franchise money.

Haven't watched the documentary myself, but Mick Foley's book(s) on wresting is definitely a great read. As another poster mentioned, yeah the stuff is scripted and they attempt to do the stunts in the safest manner possible. But injuries do happen, and there's a lot more damage done in the stunts than the people yelling "fake" realize.

I used to believe it was real when I was a little zergling.
WWE = FAKE

You have to take things with a pinch of salt though Temptest. I mean only a few silly people are saying everything is fake WWE is fake 100% none of the "physical" attributes to wrestling are real etcetcetc. But you have to add into the argument that yes this whole show is a scripted based stunt show? Thats all it is, but yes stunts do go wrong and yes stunts do physically take it out of people. Like in any stuntmans career you are going to get the standard injuries they do get, the leg injuries and back problems there just going to happen.
But that documentary was about 3 "fucked" up people in jake the snake mick folley and the old guy. The old guy couldn't afford to give up wrestling so he drives on and continues to make money (kind of like the wrestler film) as there wasn't thousands of $$s in wrestling back then than there is now. Folley was a nut job, a plain mental nut job who loved the attention he got from the WWE and really liked his job and just loved the dangerous stunts. No way was he near death from those chair shots, no way would the rock physically smack his head "properly" with a chair 10000s of times knowing it could kill him if he doesn't stop. They are the best of friends outside of the WWE always have been. Folley was the most dangerous wrestler stunt wise and thus got injured the most. The hell in the cell fall is impossible to scrip in the sense of where he would fall etcetcetc but what is scripted is the fact that he wouldn't get hurt 100% and there is pading on the floor throughout the wrestling ring area. Same when they put a wrestler through the "announcer" desk its always the same spanish announcers desk and it always breaks pre the move.
But i still think the general, it was all scripted as usual, but a stray punch or even just an elbow or hand from when they were being broken apart is the reason Cena had a cut on his lip

Looked like it was setup to be reminiscent of the end of Lesnar/Mir II to me, but done WWE style. Blood everywhere, Brock looking crazy.

I don't understand how anyone could not have animosity towards Brock Lesnar. Colossal douchebag.

100% fake. He takes him down, then punches his... sides ?
|
I dont know why this is even a question. I havent watched wrestling since I was young, but wrestlers actually get in trouble for acting outside the script. It's more likely that any chipped tooth/etc was the result of a botched maneuver than a real assault.
If it was some kind of assault, the entire wrestling lockerroom wouldn't be on standby waiting to run in and save the day. They'd have security guards coming in or something, and the announcers would be speechless, rather than drawing play by play for it.
|
He probably misjudged his slap and broke his teeth. Brock is a mother fucking bear and showed it in the ufc. cool to see him back might start watching again. Minnesota represent
I mean they try their best to fake everything so they can do it night in night out like they do but some of that stuff they can't fake and they get hurt. Most of the blood is cut open with a razor but with the more "hardcore" matches they really do get cut open.
