As a person who makes a living crafting public images, I was impressed and encouraged with the minimalist way in which Scarlett addressed the gender issue, as well as the remarkable singlemindedness with which she has NOT addressed it subsequently. For whatever my expertise is worth, she has handled the public side of this flawlessly.
I'm sure there will be many people clamoring for interviews, quotes, etc. in future LAN events. I would simply encourage Scarlett to remember that while gender may have added a small amount to the original hype, there is nothing but talent that will sustain it. A while back I donated $1000 in Day [9]'s name to InControl's Rumble in the Bronze, and I wrote him today (hoping my shameless plug of him would earn me some reading time) urging that if he did mention Scarlett on the daily, he should not dwell on the gender issues. It's not that these things aren't important, but it will be so easy over the next few months to materially hurt Scarlett's pro prospects by pigeon-holing her as "the gamer girl" or "the LGBT rep". The signs point to her being a legitimate foreign hope. Those caveats which lend themselves so well to the, "she's good for a girl" mentality can do damage to a long-term career.

So Scarlett, what universe were you in before you decided to grace us with your presence?
I just feel like you woke up one day and went, I think I'll play this game called Starcraft, wandered into IPL 4 and just started wrecking people.
Aka, can we get a little biography of your Starcraft 2 career up until IPL 4?
