Hmm... somehow I like this list. Syllo and Zentor at least. I'm not sure about BL. He seems more confident this game then he did the last time I saw him as scum where he basicly just shut up. But he haven't really dont anything besides his crazy claim.

i would like to hear you thoughts, if not now then i will have to wait another 18 hours by then something stupid and distracting will probably have happened i also have to sleep

We should have killed palmar. Something in th back of my mind is telling me that he is scum this game. Mostly due to his lack of interest and the role he have claimed (which was scum last game. And yes I know that doesn't mean anything)

God damn, I just lost everything I was typing.
Long story short:
Syllo I think is most likely to be scum out of the three because he has avoided taking concrete positions and defending them. His push was very weak on BM (he wanted to see if there was approval, and I found that odd). Syllo doesn't look for approval when he searches for scum; he finds them and then asserts his opinion strongly. At no point did I actually think syllo truly believed that either BM or I were scum yesterday. Contrast his day 1 here to Storm and you'll see what I'm talking about.
In addition, he was fixated on the plausibility of BM's claim rather than whether or not it actually made him scum. If you apply even an ounce of critical thinking to the idea that BM's roleclaim is implausible because it could potentially confirm 5 townies, you run into the same problem with risk's roleclaim. So why then did syllo never question risk's roleclaim? Imagine risk activating his ability with one person on his slot and two both above and below, with the result being no scum there. Isn't that the same plausibility problem syllo brought up with risk.nuke's roleclaim?
Cephiro: I don't find him to be scummy at all. I found that he has reached many of the same conclusions I have, and for different and equally valid reasons as well. This is a good sign as a townie. He has also put in plenty of effort in trying to find scum, and has been very transparent throughout.
Sbrubbles: He is partly the reason I am unsure about syllo. Syllo pulled him after deeming Cephiro to be town, and if syllo is actually town then Sbrubbles is definitely the scum among the 3. However, based on what little he has posted, I can't fault him. His points were mostly valid (although the argument "we should kill syllo even if he is null" is rather odd, I didn't follow the logic) and the only reason people have called him scum is for his relative inactivity.

Apologies, on my phone and it took forever to type that all twice

Hey guys!
I'm sorry I couldn't get on yesterday; a bunch of crazy IRL stuff came up. -.-
Right now, I'm way behind in the reading, but once I'm done reading, I'll post my thoughts.

Okay, I wanted to leave it until tomorrow, but it's probably worth the discussion, so here's my reads.
Leading the scumomenter are Sbrubbles and Bluelightz, for reasons posted earlier. Suspicions: I still don't like BillMurray's roleclaim.. and his filter is completely void of any content, except for the roleclaim and this:
On April 02 2012 11:06 Bill Murray wrote:Show nested quote +On April 02 2012 10:45 VisceraEyes wrote: I don't know if I want to save Palmar yet...he hasn't really done much in the way of scumhunting and he's certainly not contributing in any other way. I'm actually cool with him being where he's at if he intends to keep up this quality of play. ^^ I disagree with this He has confirmed his role What more can you do as town? That's why I'm willing to die for my claim. HOW IS THIS TOWNIE? What you can do as town is hunt scum!
I am also suspicious of Mattchew, who has so far been rather quiet. I know this is a meta-argument and I only have one game to go on, but in GoT mafia he was very loud and obnoxious (and I pushed hard to get him killed). Now his filter is almost empty and he seems to have no opinion of his own. Mattchew, I would like to hear what your reads are. Top 3 scum and top 3 town NOW. GO!
Finally MrZentor, Layabout and risk.nuke are on my scumometer because they have no actions at all on D1. Palmar also did no actions, but he's confirmed to have been nullified. Of the three I mentioned, risk.nuke said his ability eats a PoP and layabout says he can't PoP at all. Lets say I believe that, that leaves MrZentor, who went awol during 3/4 of D1. That makes me suspicious.
People I have my eye on: Syllo and Cephiro for obvious reasons. Palmar: probably town, but so far without benefits. Most of D1 pops wasted on not quite getting him to the item and leaving VE open for a mob hit in the process. Tobon: extremely useless posts.
Town reads: WBG (actively scumhunting, good reads), risk.nuke (mainly due to his roleclaim with Ace's red light confirming)

EBWOP: MrZentor is back. Hope more activity means we can expect a clarification on why you didn't PoP.

How do you square Sbrubbles being number one on your scumometer now, with this post:
On April 03 2012 07:26 Acrofales wrote: No. I disagree with both lynches atm. The case on Syllo seems to be just meta and I don't know him long enough to say anything. In GoT mafia he was disinterested and played a similar style, but he was town there (of course, he was a hydra with Sandroba, so not a very good read). The case for Sbrubbles was that he's a lurker and hasn't done anything useful. He seems to be back and posting more actively.
... especially since Sbrubbles has posted even more actively after you wrote that?

I meant that if your read on him (or me, or ceph) was null (you didn't assume anything), the lynch would have 1/3 chance of hitting scum (against 1/4 if it was a random lynch), with the advantage that if it misses, you'd have good lynch candidates the next day (and be able to use the PoPs the next day for other ends). I think these are good odds (even better if one thinks he's scum). Under these circumstances I think people who didn't have a strong town read on him should have taken the shot. They didn't.

First I'll discuss why we didn't get anything done the first day, then how we should fix it, and finally, who to kill.
The first half of the day went pretty well. We discussed how we should vote, if Palmar should get the item, and a few suspicions. It started to fall apart when some people started pulling Palmar to the item before we had decided if that was a good idea. The second day was chaos. There were tons of roleclaims. People wasted their PoPs. Risk.nuke said at least one of sbrubbles, syllogism, and Cephiro was scum. Palmar got stuck at the top. The town got together and saved Palmar at the cost some PoPs. They tried to lynch the three people risk.nuke had said, but because they couldn't decide on who to kill, it was a no lynch. Finally, mafia got VE into the redzone. Now the mafia have another kill, and we don't have much information.
We need to decide on what people we're going to kill before we start pushing them, so no PoPs get wasted. In fact, I don't want to see any PoPs on the first half of the day unless you're sure you won't be able to be there during the second half of the day, or we agreed to use some PoPs to get the item or to confirm a role claim. A PoP is best used near the end of the day, because it's when you have to most information.
I probably sound like a huge hypocrite saying this when I didn't use my PoPs yesterday, but I had planned on being able to get on the computer yesterday, and the events that arose were unforeseeable.
Of cephiro, syllogism, and sbrubbles, cephiro seems the most innocent. He has been extremely active and has been very cooperative. His overreaction to the idea of Palmar getting the item is a little suspicious.
Sbrubbles started by lurking, but recently he has been active and made some good posts.
Syllogism is the scummiest. He threw away his vote and spent several pages bickering with WBG.
Right now I'm a little suspicious of Tobon; I'll probably post a case on him when I've had more time to digest the information.
On April 04 2012 08:09 Acrofales wrote: EBWOP: MrZentor is back. Hope more activity means we can expect a clarification on why you didn't PoP. In case you missed my other post or the beginning of this post, I had a bunch of crazy stuff come up, so I didn't have access to a computer to PoP.

Bluelightz! My friend! You know, some people almost convinced me you were a Good Toy. But then I remembered this little tidbit.

Changing a bit the subject, to Layabout , you claim you simply don't have any PoPs. Because of the fact there there may be scum abilities that may only be able to be activated in exchange for PoPs and that people need to be held accountable for their PoPs (or lack of thereof), I think you could confirm that you don't have PoP's by posting a #push or #pull at the beggining of the day thus proving it has no effect.
Of course, there is the chance that you may be a townie with an ability of the like, but I don't think you have an move-related ability because you could have used it harmlessly at the end of day 1 to provide an easier roleclaim later on and if you have an information-related one, I trust you will enlighten us at the beginning of day 2. If this is not the case what are you? A gimped toy?

Day 2
Starting positions - Day 2 + Show Spoiler + OH SHIT! LIGHTS ARE OFF! NO ONE CAN SEE ANYTHING!
So how does this work? Well, none of you can see anyone or your own position on the queue. However there are some things to consider: 1.) All of your PoPs still work like normal. 2.) For abilities that require you to target a specific player, those still work. 3.) For abilities that require a player to be positioned for targeting, those work differently now. You have to blindly target a square in front of you (+1), behind you (-1), or next to you (same position). If more than 1 Toy occupies that position, you will be notified and have to pick between which position (left, right) to target. If you are unsure how this works for you specifically, PM the mods.
Additional Announcements There are 3 booby trapped queue positions. 1 of these is legit. At the end of the day, any Toy standing on the legit position will fall through and die.
Queue positions 19 - 24 are lethal!
Position 21 holds an item.
And of course, deaths!
Palmar, Mirror Toy (Good Toy) has been shattered. + Show Spoiler [Role] +
Welcome to Death Factory Mafia! You are the Mirror Toy! You are a Good Toy!
A cleverly crafted Toy, any actions carried out on you result in the opposite. Players that Push you end up Pulling you. If you get Pulled you will instead be Pushed. You also have the ability to one time reverse the entire queue by typing ##Reverse in the thread. Players in the lowest positions will be swapped with players in the highest positions and vice versa for every other position. You can not act if less than 3 hours remaining in the day.
You win by eliminating all the Bad Toys! Good luck!
Sbrubbles, Search or Rescue Toy (Good Toy) has been lost.
+ Show Spoiler [Role] + Welcome to Death Factory Mafia! You are the inquisitive Search or Rescue Toy! You are a Good Toy.
Due to your curious nature you are always interested in what the other toys are doing. You have the ability to pick a toy to target during the night by PMing the mods. That day, you have the option of immediately finding out the toy’s name or saving the toy in the event that it dies. You always start adjacent to the toy you targeted that night (assuming it lived). If you save a toy, it will always be revived as close as possible to your current position.
You win by eliminating all the Bad Toys. Good luck!
