Let's see how IM vs ItsGosu goes too... Vile will not be the worst team in this league, guaranteed. itsgosu qualified by doing well last season.... noone would have invited them but vile wouldnt have been invited either because they just dont deserve it spoiler alert iem sao paulo... Illusion got knocked down by DF for expample who is not even the ace of aTn while Illusion is BY FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR the ace of vile also stephano would all-kill vile if he doesnt get sniped any day and even without him feast diestar tarson... would just destroy viles roster If you want to argue that vile deserves to be in this league more than millennium or aTn you are just being dumb or a fanboy You are going to argue that my team is garbage because I played terribly? no but you are the strongest player on the team (wouldnt you agree?) and you are still up and coming and not quite on the level yet (im sure you will get there since you are still very young (i am too so i personally think you have even more motivation than other players) ) and if you cant carry your team i dont think vile will have a big chance
What is up with you and bashing teams and players man? Vile is in, polls have closed, now stop complaining please. Give the team a damn chance to prove themselves in this tournament (even though they have already proved themselves in IPL TAC) before you start belittling their skill.

really disappointed to not see FXO in the list

fnatic's line-up is pretty terrifying.

Vile 5-1'd Zenex (the same Zenex that all kill'd Rng). They beat MtW and Imba.Fxo. A lot of Vile's players are not top tier, but have to potential to be so. Giving them a chance to play against the best in the world is only good for the scene. Sadly, people like you would rather snottily insist that only pre-established teams should have a chance. Vile is sick good, people just don't realize it because many members of this community refuses to change an existing opinion.
they beat zenex in a match taht didnt matter at all, imba isnt that strong and mtw didnt have their full roster (both of them are not in this either so how does that matter?)
if you say that vile got chosen because of skill you have to explain why all fxo, aTn and millennium have at least 10 times more achievements than vile
if vile won a qualifier noone would ever complain but if you say the are in there because of their skill you are being unrealistic since that just is not true (look at results of iem sao paulo where their best player got destroyed that is a good example for their current state- they have a loooooooooooooot of potential and in some months im sure that they will be good enough to compete with the best of the best but they just arent ready yet..)

So since Liquid is playing does that mean they resolved the cross server problem? Maybe 2 EGMCs ago liquid declined their invite because EG required everyone to play on NA and liquid thought that was an unfair disadvantage for their players in Korea.

There are 2 parts to it. Vile qualified via community poll, which is important, as the community does have a huge factor in the SC2 pro scene. Vile has also proven itself to be a strong team through the IPL TAC2, able to compete with the best teams in the world. Vile was chosen for a combination of skill and popularity: They are very popular, but they are not a bad team either.
Either way, they have already qualified, and there is no reason for you to belittle them. We complain about the lack of new foreigner talent, and part of the reason is because people do not give up and coming players and teams chances. Give Vile a chance to shine, and if they get utterly wrecked, then maybe you can say they do not belong at the top. But when you start saying that they are bad before the tournament even starts, you are not even giving them a chance, as you try to spread the belief that Vile is inherently inferior and unable to compete. I am not saying that Vile is Slayers or IM caliber, but let's see how they do. They just may surprise you.

Oh cool, Liquid is playing. This should be a pretty awesome tournament
|
Wow, a lot of awesome teams in this tournament. Looking forward to this.
|
Congratz and best of luck to all players of Team Vile! Can't wait to see some HasHe, Illusion, Spanishiwa games.
... btw, does anyone know if PsY is going to be in the line-up? If so, someone needs to keep that Da Vinci of foul-mouthedness away from booze. Also they can't have a player who is constantly molested by a cat. Totally unprofessional. JK - it would be great to see him participate.

how did they prove themselves in ipl tac2?
they qualified against mediocre opponents and they dropped out of WR in the first round... ok i see that they beat dignitas but sjow select and bischu did not show what they are capable of
im not saying vile is a bad team but just that they didnt really deserve it to get in there i understand that all the americans voted for vile becuase they are from USA but that is what makes it a really bad idea for EG to do a poll in the first place

SC2 tournaments get their money from sponsors and viewers.
Viewers voted for Vile.
There is nothing more than that. And there is no need for something else.

The foreigner scene needs ways for new talent to have a chance to shine. Vile has shown that it has potential, and I think they do deserve a chance to prove it. They did not win against FXO, but no one expected them to. But they did put up an amazing fight. You are looking at results, and while Vile's results have been decent, they have not been incredibly impressive. But where you see easy kills for the Koreans, I see a team brimming with potential, the potential to become a top foreigner team. Give them a chance to grow and learn, give them a chance to compete in this tournament before you discount them, and maybe they can grow to become the heros that the foreign scene needs.

Somehow i feel that NASTL had some influence in TL joining this tournament. Either way this is going to be sick; IPL TAC, NASTL, EG MCSL, and the GSTL.
|
@sVnteen
Why do Millenium and AtN deserve to be in this teamleague? They have never done anything spectacular in teamleagues compared to the other choices. If we want to go by individual results than FXO dwarfs both of them.
There was a poll. Vile won. Get over it, or don't watch the tournament. You won't be missed.
|
Haha I sort of felt like Liquid was going to be the final invite as a gut feeling.
Grats to Liquid and good luck in the EG MCSL.

Who honestly did not see that coming?
GG liquid, cant wait to see how this goes!
