Vile 5-1'd Zenex (the same Zenex that all kill'd Rng). They beat MtW and Imba.Fxo. A lot of Vile's players are not top tier, but have to potential to be so. Giving them a chance to play against the best in the world is only good for the scene. Sadly, people like you would rather snottily insist that only pre-established teams should have a chance.

Vile is sick good, people just don't realize it because many members of this community refuses to change an existing opinion.

they beat zenex in a match taht didnt matter at all, imba isnt that strong and mtw didnt have their full roster (both of them are not in this either so how does that matter?)

if you say that vile got chosen because of skill you have to explain why all fxo, aTn and millennium have at least 10 times more achievements than vile

if vile won a qualifier noone would ever complain but if you say the are in there because of their skill you are being unrealistic since that just is not true (look at results of iem sao paulo where their best player got destroyed that is a good example for their current state- they have a loooooooooooooot of potential and in some months im sure that they will be good enough to compete with the best of the best but they just arent ready yet..)

There are 2 parts to it. Vile qualified via community poll, which is important, as the community does have a huge factor in the SC2 pro scene. Vile has also proven itself to be a strong team through the IPL TAC2, able to compete with the best teams in the world. Vile was chosen for a combination of skill and popularity: They are very popular, but they are not a bad team either.

Either way, they have already qualified, and there is no reason for you to belittle them. We complain about the lack of new foreigner talent, and part of the reason is because people do not give up and coming players and teams chances. Give Vile a chance to shine, and if they get utterly wrecked, then maybe you can say they do not belong at the top. But when you start saying that they are bad before the tournament even starts, you are not even giving them a chance, as you try to spread the belief that Vile is inherently inferior and unable to compete. I am not saying that Vile is Slayers or IM caliber, but let's see how they do. They just may surprise you.

how did they prove themselves in ipl tac2?

they qualified against mediocre opponents and they dropped out of WR in the first round...
ok i see that they beat dignitas but sjow select and bischu did not show what they are capable of

im not saying vile is a bad team but just that they didnt really deserve it to get in there
i understand that all the americans voted for vile becuase they are from USA but that is what makes it a really bad idea for EG to do a poll in the first place

Name a time when Vile had a bad performance and I'll gladly tell you that some of the players did not show their best games or that someone was sick and didn't play or that it was on a Tuesday and Illusion had a test the next day (<3 Illusion

) if that's what you want to hear. For some asinine reason you think that when Vile loses they played their absolute best but when a team you like loses then god was obviously against them and there were outside factors that caused them to lose. Get a grip.

All I can say is Wow, EG runs a great league here, last season was a blast and the way the teams acted was amazing. This is going to be a blast, and we are going to train very hard to try to provide some upsets for everyone to see. Thanks EG for making this happen!!
